Quote (primarch @ 22 June 2006 (22:23)) | Release the model. Rules will follow quite quickly. | To paraphrase Primarch somewhat, "Release the model. Rules will follow quite quickly."
I think that Epicomms will basically come up with rules for anything (toilet roll tanks anyone? ) so there is no danger of a model being produced, that doesn't have some sort of rules with in days of the model appearing.

Quote (ragnarok @ 22 June 2006 (21:28)) | Well E&C you seem to have some connection with them. Can you pass on the word that we want their nid models. If they make them I will buy them (A multipart carnifex would be good, converting them is hard), but any epic nid model they make I'll get some, well lots. |
A much better idea would be for you to gently remind them in the 'what do I really want FW to sculpt' box if you happen to make an order at some point.
Remember however, the Harridan was withdrawn due to a lack of sales. The current plan is to wait until the SG range is released and then put him (And also the other bio-titans) back on sale.
For ForgeWorld to Produce the entire Epic 'nid range would be impractical (Too many models required, too many different types of models too), and if persued would only result in an army that was prohibitively expensive to purchase.
When the SG range is released, I can imagine the possibility of units like Carnifexes, perhaps even Raveners, but Gaunts? Genestealers? Not gonna happen.

I think one of the problems is that without a dedicated range of models we are forced to improvise and buy other stuff, so the range seems unwanted. A prime example is the fact my last FW order and my past four GW orders all had 40K on them, but all of it was destined for conversion work to epic scale (or 54mm =][=), but the sales look like I want to buy for 40k not epic:A.
On a note related to the original topic, did you ever see the greens they did for epic hierodules?

Quote (Hena @ 23 June 2006 (17:19)) | They could release harridan and trygon at least. | No matter how many people here buy them, they wouldn't sell enough to keep them in production without swarm infantry models to accompany them.

With troops, dafrca may buy lots more.

Clearly, someone needs to write rules for an all-war-engine Tyranid list! Then we could build armies containing nothing but Heirodules, Hierophants, Trygons, Dominatrix, Vituperaptor and Harridan models! (or at least predominately so, with a handful of support infantry, like Genestealers and Lictors for taste!)

I did play around with a biotitan list, it had a bigger independant section and the common and uncmoon requirments were switched around.
As to buying them without having the basic troops, I want atleast 40 carnifexi and dozens of Dactylis and exocrines. I'm a bio tread head and want lots of tanks.

Good point. A mini line without the infantry is pretty bare.
