Wow, that was a close call. Glad to hear you escaped with only minor problems.

Thanks DS - very minor, in this case. If I were a cat, that would've been one life down...

On a different note, yesterday WAS my day - in some ways.
I was so angry I'm only writing about it today. Someone at work left a very aggressive metal-etching chemical in the labs in a glass bottle with a tight stopper - against indications.
At a temperature of around 37 degrees C, the stopper popped itself off, and the stuff bubbled out. I was in the lab at the time, went to investigate the noise, and got a good dose of nitric + hydrochloric acid fumes. Luckily I instinctively drew back only just in time, and rushed out of the room pausing only to switch on the extractor. I made it with just a slightly sore throat and parched mouth.
Talk about being lucky..... :;):

I'm glad I work in a scholl/sixth form lab.  The worst I get is some 36% w/w HCl everynow and then as I make up the bech solutions.  I'm glad your lungs are okay V, the biologists tell me they are important, somthing about us being stupid and losing our gills.  :p

Thanks Ragnarok. Now if I were a Nid, I might have some spare gills included..... but being a poor old Ad Mech just gets me one pair of lungs (not high-ranking enough for an extra set... :p )
PS - that's a thought - aquatic Nids? Something for you to think about...  :/

I have promised that one of my Hydraphants will be wading.

I'm also sure that nids were aquatic a few editions back, you could sneak gaunts up rivers.

So getting the ships out, repairing and all that.

Drilled a stack of stems only to discover.... no superglue anywhere.

Whats worse I was using my phone to prop up things when they dried. One vibrating message later........

Hi!

We all have days like this. Be glad its only hobby related and not real life misshap....  :;):

Sigh.... no, but I had a good talk, at the end of which I scraped the remnants of my vocal chords off the wall of the opposite building.
He seems to have seen the error of his ways, and the main fault lies with the dept for not providing adequate reagent containment - an issue I'm now tackling.

Wow, that's one serious mishap, glad you escaped relatively unscathed 'V'
Aquatic Nids, that could be interesting.......and so Nids slowly evolve towards Slann and the whole cycle begins again

In that case, wouldn't it be called a Hydrophant?  :D
