...I assume you get that at fabric stores?...

Craft stores, I think.  I got mine on eBay:

It's like the 10,000-monkeys-with-typewriters thing.  Give enough grots enough rivet guns, and eventually you'll get a straight line!

Ill second that, thats one of the best scratchbuilt gargant bodies ive seen.

Do you have templates or plans for that Javelin? If you fancy doing a walkthrough of building the Gargant I for one would be really interested  :)

I can do a walkthrough from this point forward, I guess.  I'm still trying to solve the arms and feet problem.  I have a couple of weapons that might work well, plus I'm planning on scratchbuilding a huge Gatling gun out of plastic rod.

I did use a template for the basic body, blown up on my PC and traced onto 2mm thick plastic card (a "For Sale" sign from Home Depot!).  The card was a little too thick -- I could set a gallon of paint on this thing and it wouldn't even creak!  1mm card would work just as well and be easier to cut.

The template is here:   http://www.brothersdigital.com/~csmith/epic/models.html

I increased it to about 130%, because I wanted a *big* mother!  My scratchbuild, so far, is about 10mm taller than a beetleback Warlord.

Look forward to photos of the finished gargant.

Keep up the good work.
