Everyone sound off:
July 8th - One Day event. Stratford, CT. Starts early (0900 I think) and goes till late. Can get 3 tables (6'x4') easily and possibly a fourth table if I schmooze some people.
Cover for the event is $10 per person. If everyone wants to drop a little extra cha-ching we might be able to get a prize or something together. If not then we're playing for bragging rights.
I received an email from the CT Game Club organizer and he seemed like a good fella. He was not familiar with Epic, but there are 600 members of the group so odds are somebody's got an army someplace. We may get some additional participants after all.
For now, let's just see if we can get at least 8 people for July 8th. If so I will lock it in and we'll work on the details as we go.
They have a ton of other game stuff going on that day, so you won't be bored if you're between games.
1. I can go. Who's #2?

Shucks -- I wish I was still living in Danbury; I'd be all over that.

Stratford is just a little too far from Spokane.

I'll come if I can find someone to car-pool with... Of course it is a roughly 4 hour drive from where I am. So getting there at 9AM is not very likely unless we leave really bloody early in the morning! But if some folks down in the DC/Baltimore area are gonna come I'll chip in for gas and food to come.

What would be impressive would be explaining to my wife's satisfaction why I was away for ten or eleven days!

I already answered in the SG forum, but I figured that there would be no harm in cross-posting. ?I'll be there with either Ulthwe Eldar or Armegeddon Orks.

For those who might not be able to make it to this tourney, I spoke with my nephew (who works at a GW store) the other day and he said that his store will be organizing an epic tournament in the future, probably late summer/early fall. He works at the GW store in Manchester, CT, which is conveniently right off I-84.

Thanks, DS. Looking forward to that as well - I should probably be able to make it (date unseen). I'll assume that if its a Saturday ePilgrim will make it as well.
As for this tourney, we are still looking a little thin. I know its over a month away, but I was hoping to have 8 people locked by June 8th (3 days away).
I guess summertime isn't the best time to do this. Well, we can always just game it up all day (play it fast and loose). Would have time for a larger campaign that way as well.

FYI I received a couple more emails from the CT gamers club, so it looks like we'll have at least eight for the tourney.
We'll put out a format for the tournament as well as a list of approved armies in the next week or so. In the mean time, feel free to post or PM any suggestions.
