Quote (Jaldon @ 21 May 2006 (16:42)) | Number one, this is old news, real old. ?A lot has changed since then.
Jaldon ? | Those old "stickies" really should be let go and replaced with newer/more current threads on the same topics.

Those old "stickies" really should be let go and replaced with newer/more current threads on the same topics. | Though they are old and out of date they are the only words we have from JJ.
Surly we should keep them for semtimental reasons.

If this are the only words from Jervis and we have nothingnew fromhin, then this are current words not obsolete ones. Somebody should ask Jervis about the current situation regarding the models range.

Somebody should ask Jervis about the current situation regarding the models range. | I think this line speaks volumes about the "obsoleteness" of the notes from Jervis:
- The main reason for the 'generic' Tyranid models in the army list is that we are going to replace ALL of those OLD models with new sculpts.
With the shake up/downsizing of Specialist Games, there's no way this is happening, and renders a lot of stuff moot.

So why are we submitting this list to Jervis at all...
Feral Orks got released... it looks quite likely that Chaos will get re-released... will 'nids never be released at all now? Have we basically given up on making a forward thinking list?
I know for a fact that ForgeWorld will make the 40k Titan class models in a snap if / when SG releases a Tyranid range for them to support.

With the shake up/downsizing of Specialist Games, there's no way this is happening, and renders a lot of stuff moot. | The model list that I posted post-dates the downscaling of SG, and includes a statement from Jervis that most of the sculpts will no longer be redone, but simply rereleased.
