I have always liked the idea of robotic combatants ever sense I first read about the idea in SciFi books back in the late 70s. The idea that a machine goes out for us is a fun thing to think about. Well the newest player in the arena is not fiction but fact. Check out Crusher.

Nice! Some navies have been deploying a simialr thing: Unmanned Surface Combat Craft - for about 2 years, essentially a remote control 7m boat with radar, IR and a 50 calibre MG!

Yep, been following the development of both the UAVs, ROVs, and the UGVs. But this was the first UGV that I thought looked like I expected them to look like. 
The ROV I like the look of the most so far is this one from Israel:
