And they say the Demiurg Commerce Vessels are majestic and gargantuan sights to behold...

Well. You'd better enjoy this. The only things really missing are the ideas concerning the Keep class station and a few other tidbits. Hopefully not much though! I'm very pleased with this. Digest at your leisure.

At a first glance (i'll get round to reading it properly tonight):

(Brother hoods) Are the points for brother hoods in addition to paying +10% for a refit? Also, they automatically get one (a free refit!?)
**What if you could combine this with rerolls?: For every brotherhood you may buy a refit or a reroll (1 per 500pts)! Brotherhoods should always come with the ships automatically!

(Cutting beam max) Are the cutting beams supposed to be limited on the Stronghold and Garrison? (There's a typo in Armada that can be read either way).

(Citadel) Shouldn't this be 12 hits? Due to automation? (+2 hits over the Stronghold)

(Garrison) Where did the broadside lances come from? Also where is the single dorsal launch bay?

(Repair points) Shouldn't the Stronghold and Citadel offer repair points instead of having a pirate base?

(Rerolls/Renown) There are just too many rerolls!!! It should be 0,1,2,3,4,5!

(Typo) the points for the Stronghold and Citadel are wrong in the fleet list.

(Refits) S 1: is this instaed of the normal +1 to Ld?
S 4: There should be a down side, perhaps only +1 hit?
S 6: This should not affect boarding!
D 5: Just suck the Bm's up, or dicount them. Also don't put 'as apposed to 4+' as this could be interpreted as only recieving 5+ saves against hits on the hull when BFI'd.

One brotherhood with each capital ship. This includes the free refit. This pretty much brings the Bastion up to a decent standard and gives a bit of variety to the fleet. Maybe too much on the bigger ships, but we'll see.

Hmm. I'm kinda set to keep them distinct. I thought it'd be nice to have them dependent on each other, but I don't see a gain in putting them together. All capital ships have Brotherhoods, though I was more than half tempted to bring up rules for fully automated commerce vessels...

As it stands, I'm happy to keep them seperate. The costs listed for Brotherhoods is for the extras on the Stronghold and Citadel.

No overwhelming reason, but it would seem a bit silly if we ended up with a Stronghold unleashing a S17 Lance shot and some poor bugger failing their BFI...

(Citadel) Shouldn't this be 12 hits? Due to automation? (+2 hits over the Stronghold) The Stronghold went up to 12 HP too. Why? Well, the ship *is* bloody big. Seems silly for it not to have 12. Thus, the Citadel has 14. This should most definately, in hindsight, include an attendent points increase. Suggestions?

(Garrison) Where did the broadside lances come from? Also where is the single dorsal launch bay? I propped in the extra lances as there was, IMO, no loss from the broadsides, and optimised the equipment to an all round 45cm. The final launchbay, whilst possible was something I was still swithering about.

Remember that Keep we were talking about? Well, I don't see why we can't add a clause that the Demiurg pirate base also includes Demiurg special rules, but with the attendant difficulty that it must lie in the Mercurial zone.

(Rerolls/Renown) There are just too many rerolls!!! It should be 0,1,2,3,4,5!

I simply vote adding a cap of five, it makes sense, but still prohibits the Demiurg having  at 1000pts.

(Typo) the points for the Stronghold and Citadel are wrong in the fleet list. Not only that but the Citadel and Garrison were still called the Garrison and Seige! Sorted in my second draft edition.

(Brother hoods, rerolls) I think it'd be pretty neat to have a choice between refiting your ship and buying a reroll, it add a nice 'natural' limitaion on both!

(Cutting beam max) There should be different values for the max: 8 for the Bastion, 10 for the Garrison, 12 for the Stronghold, 14 for the Citadel!

(Citadel and Stronghold hits) Teh stronghold stioll had 10 hits in the document (and still should!). The Citadel should only have 12 hits (to be 2 above the Stronghold). If anything should change it should be the Bastion and Garrison going down to 6 hits!

(Raider Repair points bonus) I think its pretty cool to have the raider bonus tied in with the factory ships! The Keep would be somthing really special, like a Ramelies!

(Rerolls and renown) So are you going to change the rerolls/renown as I've suggested?

I used that pdf-maker, and WOW! It's fantastically useful. The article looks professional now! Also, I made a few modifications.

Bear in mind, for the most part, I'm coming from the perspective that the Bastion is woefully underpowered. Ie: should be costed about 230pts(or less). By including the Brotherhoods as simply part of the ship, we have: Each ship 'somehow' unique, or at least worth about 255pts(I like that cost for them, dunno why).

With it like this, the wide range of refits 'basic' to the fleet means tha it will have a lot of range for variety(over the originals anyway), but not to the extent of the Experimental Ship subplot(which I was tempted to use, I'll admit!).

Neat? Hmm. I wouldn't say so, but I'll think it over for V3.2. The choice, as I see it, is inherent in the costs of the upgrade. If you want to spend more to get more upgrades, you still have less ships. :80:

My problem is I don't have Microsoft Word here at Uni on my laptop, but it'd be grand if you could send them, I can have the lot of them sorted for Saturday as I'm heading home(where I do have Word) for my Dad's birthday.

The Demiurg v3.4

Enjoy. New things added(that I recall):

- Facilitation and Augmentation Widgets
- Black Horizon's Excellent Readable-o-matic Stat Boxes
- New piece fo writing: 'The Archive'
- Widely corrected and ammended stats
- Brotherhoods have now been made random(but you're allowed to choose which table)

A few other things intersperesed among it, I'm confident that it's now a very readable document(touch wood!).
