Hello, sorry to drag this thread out again, but I've just read this book and can thoroughly recommend it. Yes, it has a few illustrations from previous publications, but only for races which are commonly known. But it's more than worth reading it (at the very least) for the stuff which has not been seen before - the new aliens are very interesting and - in places - nicely gross and a little bit disturbing! The story that runs through it is quite good, and is blacker than a Priests Habit from Habit-hat (sorry, joke that only Father Ted fans will get!  )
I think this is one of the best booKs produced by the Black Library, I've not read any of their other 'background' books (Libers Chaotica etc), but I doubt those are as good as this. Check it out if you can!
