started my Aenoic orb model. the pictures a little blurry and dark because I haven't worked out my new Digital camera yet but here goes :

hope it works.......
it's basically 2 small flying bases glued flatsides together then 2 25mm round bases glued on one on each end. on the top some semi spere thing is glued on and the "orb"(which is acctually a bouncy ball that says "smile god loves you"written on it ) pinned through it. after this I glued on another flying base to the bottom and glued random bitz from my bitz box to that. I then glued on a flying stand to a 50mm round base and added the cables to form the containment field generators. when it was dry I glued on some samll beads to the top flying base and glued it on its base to dry.
what do you think despite dodgey pictures

Very timely. I'll have to post shots of my WIP AEonic Orb.
I took a plastic Christmas ornament and glued it to some of the GW 40mm round bases, then stuck a bunch of plastic rod and such on the bottom so that it looks like that part does something interesting.
Rather than follow the drawing exactly for the frame around the orb, I decided to go with something a little easier to produce, will be sturdier, yet still look intimidating.
What I am struggling with is getting the two assemblies together, but I shall prevail.
I'll try to get a shot of it tonight.

Very, very cool idea. I like how the Orb appears to be suspended.
Here's a shot of my WIP. I finally figured out how I can hang the frame over the orb and I'll probably add some rods sticking out from the frame, as sketched in the concept drawing.

I love it honda! maybe we will have "inspired" roughly what the thing is..... a floating platform with some sort of death sphere on it:angry:
your orb freaks me out unpainted, allready looks scary:( ..... can't wait till it's done

So, Oh Mighty Hidden One, how are you planning on painting yours?
Since most of my army is silverish, with washes, except for the C'tan, I'm planning on doing mine in Golds.
I can hardly wait to field it so that I can start humming the tune, "Here Comes The Sun" by the Beatles...that and "I Only Have Orbs For You".
It's pain time...

Inspiring guys, very inspiring. ?Impressive how one has been designed to "float" within its cage and the other is completely floating.

it already painted, just look closely. i've gone for the black/ green highlighted green(I'm a traditionalist )
