Well, me and my opponent own multiple fleets, normally we told eachother with wich fleet we where gonna play but we liked to introduce some suprise elements. So no more tailoring fleets for specific enemies.


Battlefleet Gothic Playing Guide.

1) Choose a day to battle.

2) Pick a race.

3) Make a 1500pts fleet roster & a 750pts fleet roster.

4) Take all models with you to make use of both fleet rosters.

5) At batte day roll a D10 to determine scenario.

6) Use the Attack Rating value plus a D6 to determine Attacker & Defender in the choses scenario.

7) If the scenario makes use of plantery and/or orbital defences allow the defender to change up to 250pts in his fleet into defences.

8) Detemine Zone & Celestial Phenomena with standard proceedings.

9) Battle!  :/

10) Have fun, with or without beer.  :wow:

11) After the battle has ended determine who has won, do not argue or throw models off the table.  :down:

12) After battle mention wich special / house rules your gonna use with a race if you bring them next time. Keep in mind next time doesn?t have to be next battle.

13) Determine next battle date.

So, any good, comments or otherwise?

I think simply 'not telling' is sufficient enough innovation, probably a great old help when in small groups with multiple fleets!

That said, that plan seems just about right for a grand old day's fun!

The only problem I see is not having enough defences/transports to accomodate for a scenario. That said, you could simply 'account for that' when you write/bring your fleet. Sure, you might have a few left over, but it's nothing major, is it?

I strongly disagree with point 10. Beer should be mandatory, not optional :;): ( or even better, some ice-cold Strongbow cider ) . With plenty of snackage and/or fast-food too.

Remember kids, drink in moderation ( otherwise it might be difficult to follow point 11 :D ).

I strongly disagree with point 10. Beer should be mandatory, not optional :;): ( or even better, some ice-cold Strongbow cider ) . With plenty of snackage and/or fast-food too.


:D  Well, my opponent is sometimes with his car, so no drinking allowed but otherwise, indeed, mandatory.
