Dark Eldar ver. 1.7(standard list not Wyche Cult)
Please forgive the lack of formatting. I will clean up this cut&paste as time moves on! Please feel free to email me as well concerning the list and I hope to soon be posting links to photos.
Premise: The purpose of this list is to simulate a large collection of forces banding together to accomplish large-scale raids on relatively weakly defended areas in order to capture slaves for torture and amusement. The Dark Eldar are masters of raids and lightning strikes from nowhere. Leaving little in their wake but the dead and immortal fear in those lucky few to escape their wrath! The forces presented here are raiding forces of the Dark Eldar who do not normally mount large-scale offensives, but sometimes happen upon an area that has just recently be fortified or it alert for attack!
It should be noted that actual models will not be produced in the foreseeable future and this is an army consisting entirely of conversions.
New Special Rules: Attack from Out of Nowhere - Any DE formations may be-repositioned up to 5cm away from their original positions after set-up but before rolling for first turn. This is to represent their ability to attack from nowhere and to cause a little more fear and loathing in your opponent!
Drug-Crazed Killers ? Certain DE units are known for their extensive use of combat drugs and as such are extremely deadly in Close Combat. As such any unit with a note of Wyche is a unit that benefits from a +1 to the Initiative roll when attempting to go on Assault orders.
Slavetakers ? Dark Eldar are notoriously feared for the fact that they employ the practice of taking prisoners to be tortured slaves. In an assault any of the opponent?s units that are slain while in base contact by weapons other than Macro-Weapons or Titan Killers, have a chance of being taken prisoners/captive. Roll a d6 for each unit taken as a casualty that was in base contact with a DE unit, on a 6+, they are captured. Also any units that are automatically slain (such assaults on broken units and etc?) are all (yes, the whole unit, not just those who would have been in base contact!) taken prisoner/captive and removed as normal.
Other Special Rules: Dark Eldar also use Eldar rules for Hit and Run, Pulse & Lance.
NEW VICTORY CONDITIONS! ? Take note that some of the 5 basic victory conditions are altered slightly, based on the Slavetaker special rules that DE armies operate under. The following victory conditions are re-worded for a DE army to reflect this (those which are not listed have no change)
Break Their Spirit: You achieve this goal by destroying or capturing (not breaking) the formation worth the most points in the opposing army. If several formations are tied for the most points, you achieve this goal by destroying or capturing any one of them.
Garrison Rules - The DE do not normally garrison areas but rather attack suddenly from nowhere, as a result the DE may not garrison objectives.
Strategy = 5 (they are experts at making sure they are the attackers) Initiative = 2+
