#### that. What the hell is up with tea anyway? I drink it now and then and can't imagine making a ceremony out of it. Tea time at 4pm or whatever isn't as bad as it is in Japan where the whole process takes something like 3 hours. That is stupidity.

If I were you, I would be careful when criticizing other cultures. It's dangerous jumping to conclusions about an aspect of a culture without knowing more about it. There is far more to the Japanese tea ceremony than drinking tea. Plus, as Tas pointed out, there may be other reasons why XXX Corps stopped.

Also, Gandalf, could you do me a favor and tone down your "colorful" language.

Gandalf, I must admit that this is becoming a pointless exercise.  I made several replies, deleting them all and in the end just left it as is.

If you want to be blind, callous and ignorant that is your decision

Just to pointlessly interject my 2 cents Canadian into this...

It's been my experience over the last four years working with current and/or former British military personnel here in Calgary or at BATUS Suffield that if you put two or more of them in one spot for anything longer than 15 minutes someone puts a brew on.

Salmon swim upstream to spawn, moths navigate by the position of the moon and Brits just have to have their cuppa. It's just another natural law...

"Alright lads, listen up. I've just been told that we're to take that strongpoint armed only with these potato peelers. Okay Corporal... do we have time for a cuppa first though?"

The only thing I have a problem with regarding the experience  is actually calling it tea. :p

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of enjoying a brew boiled on a vehicle's engine block and then thickened with milk and sugar to the point of almost being corn syrup... try it sometime, you may not like it but it's certainly an interesting taste experience to say the least.

MOD: SORRY GANDALF, CHECK OUT THE LIST OF MODS - THIS IS VANVLAK HERE.

That's nice.

MOD: UH-UH - EVERYTHING IS OPEN TO CRITICISM, BUT NOT SENSELESS DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISM.

Are you for real? What would you have considered "SENSELESS DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISM?" Wait - don't answer I just lost interest.

MOD: 'COLOURFUL LANGUAGE' ADDS NOTHING TO THE QUALITY OF A DISCUSSION,

Sure it does. It's called expression.

AND IS, AS YOU SHOULD KNOW, NOT APPRECIATED LOCALLY. AND IT IS THE USE OF WORDS WHICH CAN BE OFFENSIVE, RATHER THAN THE WORD ITSELF.

Okay cupcakes, tell you what. I am already over this and will move on. If there is anything that drives me up a wall it is conforming to something that I can't stand, and that is not being myself. I am not going to sugar coat my opinion, and if you can't handle it, YET KEEP COMING BACK TO MY THREAD, then ordinarily I would say you are asking for your panties to be all caught up in a bunch.

If you want to be blind, callous and ignorant that is your decision

Dude, go fuc.k yourself. Now, of course my comment will be deleted but calling me "blind", "callous", and "ignorant" will stay. I love the hyprocracy. Go ahead and ban me.

Cheers.

Pretty much the mature and considered reply I expected.

Well done

Its a pity you have decided to go down this path after posting such interesting and informative reviews on a variety of games.

If you would care to go back to that line of posting and not slagging off anyone else's opinions and cultures you would be welcome to stay.

Of course, you will be too hot under the collar to calm down and recognise where this otherwise enjoyable thread has gone wrong and why.  I love your hyprocracy in return.

Right, it is a real shame, that after 13 pages of very informative and interesting discussion, it has to end like this.

Gandalf: The Mods here are given their responsibiities to act, and I support the moderation of your post. There is a definate line between not understanding a certain culture/historical situation, and being aggressive and closed minded about it.

Posters here have a lot of tolerance regarding the language which they are allowed to use, and the automatic filter is tuned down low because of this, but this does not mean that there are not limits on this kind of thing. Strong language is not expression, there are no points when swearing expressess an opinion which could not be expressed equally in other ways. Whiler I am prepared to let certain levels go, excessive strong language is just not on. Personally, I am perfectly happy for the UK outlook to be criticised from the time (hey, I like tea, but not that much) but please try to calm down a little. If you would like to take this discussion onto a forum with less strict rules on 'expression' then feel free.

Also, please refrain from name calling and assuming that anyone who doesnt agree with your current opinion is completely wrong and only deserves shouting at.
