I'm not sure if this is old news but I just had a look at the Forge World Online store. Aparently the Epic Tanks factory is now OOP. It was announced a while ago that it would soon be out of production. However no such announcements were made about the Cathedral which apparently has also been removed.  :(

Too bad...

Hmmm.. any hint why they being discontinued?

I certainly hope they aren't gonna ditch some of the real cool models like superheavy tanks or the like.

Not selling enough to make up the investment in production at a guess, the usual.

I'd always though the tank factory model was rather overpriced, but the Cathedral seemed to be more 'value for money,' hey ho. :(

Hi!

I agree overpriced. I liked them, but wasnt going to pay that much for them.

I hope they concentrate on epic minis, not terrain.

Actually... speaking of Forgeworld and super heavy tanks...

Has anyone seen any recent castings from FW? Have they redone their moulds lately or, are they still deteriorating?

I'd like to order a company or two of each but I'll be arsed if I'm going to pay for casts out of worn out moulds. :80:

"Great minds" think alike L4. :(8:

That was more or less my thinking on the matter but... I really don't want to front that much coin for whats going to turn out to be a pile of poorly cast resin.

Although, theres no small irony with the FW superheavies actually working out cheaper than the standard GW ones for a full company.

I ain't paying for the super heavies unless they pack them 6 to a bag.

The last ones I got were completely "melted" in the rear end of the vehicle... the tracks were blurry and well.. melted.. together with the rest of the thing. Major disappointment. So I called them up and say "NAY!" and then they shipped me another bag of superheavies:D

Hi Guys,

I just don't know about GW...

Or rather I DO KNOW about GW! :(

It's sad that some FW models are going out of production.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!

I'll cut them some slack on this...

..as long as regular epic minis are forthcoming... :;):

It is my understanding that they have to replace the molds after just a few castings with those Forgeworld models.  They deteriorate much faster than the molds for metal or plastic miniatures.  Forgeworld stuff goes out of print a lot; they sometimes bring things back a few years later, though, so don't lose hope.

Hi!

Thats very likely.

Their customer service in my experience has been top notch, so they usually make up for their mistakes.
