Hi all,
I thought I'd use an old Matchbox tank model kit diorama base (1/76 scale Wespe, if I remember correctly) as an alternative to the plastic flying stand for the Spherodrome. I covered up the tank tracks with - er - pepper and painted them black with a white and metal drybrush to represent sand fused by the sliding landing of the sphere - a la WWII gliders.

Yep ! I built one of those ! I remember the base ! Sold all my AFV Collections a few years back ! Are those M4 Sherman drive sprockets ?! And as always ... great work "V" !
