I was wondering what people use for their heirodules? I know that the army list says use trygons for the moment, but I'm planning on using mine as trygons (heres hoping ).
I having done a size comparision yet (being away from my army) but I was curious if anyone had used termagunts from 40K?
If I remember correctly then they are slightly larger than biotanks, perfect for a SHBT. It would only need some cosmetic GSing to bulk up its armour and and a simple conversion of spinefiest to make biocannons, or scything talons to make...well...scything talons .
Am I going crazy breathing paint fumes again, or is this a valid idea for my biolabs to work on?

Don't think so.
Tyrgon; subterranian troop carrier
Hierodule; SHBT
They ahve different purposes so I hope we get to keep both

I personally don't see the Trygon having the attack strength of the hierodule (ie its 3 MW attacks), possible 1 CCMW and transport. Thus the Hieordule is still a line breaker, where as the Trygon is a "By the way. I've got a swarm on your blitz objective, oh and it contains WEs "

Well, one of the other Tyranid players around these parts uses 40k Hormagants as Scythed Heirodules (Ragnarok - the guy I'm talking about is Tom Routh, who used to work in GW Reading... I'm sure you know him)... they're about the right size, and have the right sort of weapons on the models anyway. I can't see a need for more than minimal conversion work, either...

I think it is too big. It is the size of a warrior and they tower over my dominatrixi.
