I was wondering if anyone has tried using primary zonathropes as a brood. I was thinking of
warriors 150pts
6 thropes 300pts
10 bullet shield...er I mean termagaunts 100pts
total 550pts
6 range 30 AP/AT/AA 4+ shots and 3 range 30 AP5+/AT6+.
9 4+ saves and a decent mix of FF and CC attacks. True it is a bit small for a brood but is a good firebase and the bane of any air assault.
Unless anyone knows of a weakness in this brood I think I've found a replacment for my dead chicken brood.

Really, all you need is enough ZOs to place BMs on air assaults. With no BMs, you'll always have +2 on resolution. Air cover is no match for a horde because it simply doesn't do enough damage.
That said, I think it could be a fun formation and I suspect it would be effective. Whether it's worth taking will probably depend more on the final disposition of Nid arty in the next update.
