So it seems like most people like the idea of Themed armies, but either because of costs or because of deals etc. they do not always "buy" to theme.
Interesting.

The terms "wargamer" and "disciplined buying" rarely go togther!

Isn?t that the Holy Grail of war gamers? |
I always thought the Wargamer's Holy Grail was the "my own body weight in miniatures" concept!

Yes, Ebay can be fun, but it can also be a trap.
In fact, buying on ebay is where you need the most discipline.

dafrca | True, true. But if it wasn't for ebay someone like me, who's relatively new to epic (only got in to it with new minis) wouldn't be able to get any of the classic/out of production minis I've got in my armies.

Sometimes at the local Convention I have picked up some stuff when they have "Flea Market" tables.
But you are right, there is some of the older stuff that just can not be found.
Once again, I wish that the Archive had not been shut down.
