I'm way behind on list thread ! Daf- about H/S Nuc D-fields. I don't really know how they would work, but like I said based on what I read/quoted, it might make it harder to Nuc a target by causing a malfunction (??) and the weapon not blowing up ? That's my take ... And my 3 OGREs (III, IV & V) are with my Cultist/Traitor IG-PDF ... stats are still up in the air ... maybe like a Leviathan or other Big Squat AFV ? Better check out those Epic OGRE sites you all mentioned ? An Epic vs. ORGE Force battle would be an interesting event !

I did like your take, I just had not thought about it that way until you presented it to me that way. Sort of like "Wow, that is cool".

I agree, the sight of some WarLords dueling with some OGREs while the soft crunches fight it out would be nice.

Thats a BIG Ogre, I'm rubbing my hands together about what add-ons and conversions I'd do to it... What did it cost???

Yes, an Epic Force taking on an OGRE Force, complete with Grunts, FA, Tanks, etc., would be quite a sight and game ! ? ?Oh and about the Nuc D-Field ... I'm basing my take on Drake's concept on my past experiences, again. ?As a young (and foolish) 25 year old 1LT in the 101, I was given a Top Secret Clearance. And was sent to training to be an Atomic Demolitions Missions Officer. ?(I didn't volunteer !) ?So I have minor working knowledge of such things ... ?

Does anyone here besides me know of/remember the Bolo stories? Looking over the Ogre pictures and backgrounds they're neat... But what I'd really want to see is one of the Mk XX Bolos on the field against say... Four Warlords and a War Monger. I might even give them an even chance to win. Maybe...
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, the Bolo units were something written about in the mid 80s in a series of short-stories. They were intelligent tanks, fully self-independent in the field, sporting rediculous amounts of weaponry (If anyone's interested I actually have some rough stats for them in both Warhammer and Epic scales, though I admit that they're EXTREMELY grotesque in power). They were designed to be an ultimate-weapon, over-engineered to the extreme. Armor and onboard shielding capable of standing up to repeated direct hits with multi-megaton nuclear weapons. Powered by two internal fusion reactors and the ability to absorb extra energy from enemy attacks to supplement their power supplies. The smallest of them, the Mk XX, is roughly as large as a Warlord in terms of length/height comparison, perhaps a bit larger actually.

Yes, in fact we all know OGRE was inspired by the Bolo stories somewhat.
Bolos are larger and more powerful, I think, then OGREs were supposed to be. I always thought of OGREs as the ultimate assault weapon and Bolos as the doomsday weapon.
