Heya, I've been thinking - the GW razorbacks are divided between 2 lascannon and 2 heavy bolter turrets per blister.

I was wondering if everyone stuck to this ratio or if one was more useful than the other generally.

I've never seen anyone use a HB razorback ever......

lascannon has longer range, doesn't have a FF nerf or anything and AT shots are generally more valuable than AP....

Sad but true. I just say to my opponent at the start of the game "All my Razorbacks are Lascannon ones" = never had an issue.

Oh dang, ha ha. Well, good to know that before I start glueing things! x-D

Wait, is this the case for Predator Destructors, too? No one takes them?

Hate to go against more experienced players but... Not sure I agree. For me it depends on opponent. If they are armour heavy then yup to lascannon. But with Infantry heavy (I play IG and Eldar a lot and my opponents tend to be very infantry heavy) I like the Bolters. I have seen me mix it up too.....

never seen a HB razorback being used in a friendly or competetive game so far... Whats the point? Your marines shot the same distance.
What the Las cannon does is to give you an opportunity to put BM:s an extra 15cm away from your formation. Awesomesauce.

I have only taken them specifically when its been an infantry heavy match. Give me more opportunity to land BM's from destroying infantry.

Just looking at the Grey Knight razorbacks, they get psycannons, a 30cm 4+AT/4+AP attack - are they still not worth taking due to the range drawback?

no, that's just laughably overpowered, unless costed appropriately of course

I don't pay attention to grey knights fluff any more since they became a regular space marine chapter with psychic powers who fight against orks and tau and necrons and tyranids instead of the purpose they were formed for which was to exclusively fight chaos..... they were like the guys the astartes called in when there were daemons involved, but GW utterly ruined them by realising that people could own an entire army of them (and GW make more money) instead of a single squad they occasionally break out for campaign and narrative games....

phew that was a nice rant, glad to have gotten that off my chest

Forgive me while I cry in a corner then because Grey Knights are what I'm glueing right now this minute. =-P
