I don’t think the deathstrike silo is even optimal in netea Krieg. I think I’m right in saying the track record of UK players at the EEC with netea Krieg is played 15 won 14. That suggests something’s not right.

For sure, but as I said above the Net-EA version got significantly downgraded last Autumn and is arguably less powerful than the Epic-UK version now. Prolific older game wins when the list was noticeably overpowered aren't necessarily applicable any more.

As far as I’m aware Netea list still allows you to run the list I took to the 2017 EEC which is:

3 x gorgon cos (with gorgon commissars)
2 shadowswords
2 x warhounds
2 x tbolts
Rough riders

That’s substantially better than anything the epic UK list can put out.

The army forge file is out of date. Can't have single Warhounds anymore, and some prices are different. But otherwise you can still have all that stuff, most crucially the Gorgons are still pretty much the same.

Net-EA list hasn’t prevented Commissars in Gorgons but that seems to be the only advantage compared to what you can take in a comparative Epic-UK Krieg list?
On the flipside Net-EA Gorgons have a much worse critical, their Death Riders have half as many attacks as in Epic-UK and overall the units you mention cost 50 points more in the Net-EA version. Single Warhounds are no longer an option in the Net-EA list. This isn’t really the best place to discuss this but I don’t see the Net-EA list as more powerful now than the Epic-UK list.

Whether or not the NetEA list is balanced I feel that it is the one that should be used.

A lot of exciting chat - so thanks, everyone.
Though can we focus this post on the organizing (logistic nightmares) and worry about the Net Ea vs Uk vs Brexit lists elsewhere?
... I still have only one confirmed team. :)

So, there is a lot of interest but especially for those who may be traveling a long way it is worth crystallising some teams.

What is the latest from across the Atlantic and Oz?

Watching flight prices. Norwegian used to have a great price direct from NY, but it looks like they're stopping that after Marxh.

Sad times. For those based overseas Glasgow is also about 2.5 hours from Manchester by train and 4.5 hour trains, 1 hour flight from London.

I'm sure the London-based players can organise the odd practice game during the week or so before if anyone goes to London first.

For those travelling from outside the UK and looking to reduce cost, I've got 2 spare beds in Glasgow. Could do an airport pick up too.

Junkstar, we’ll pull something proper together shortly but in the interim. Nearby are:

Park Circus Hostel (think it’s YHA)
A range of smaller hotels on Great Western Rd (Byres Rd End)
There’s also the Grosvenor hotel which is pretty swanky
Air bnb in the Byres Rd or Glasgow University area is also a good shout.
There’s a range of premier inn, travelodge, budget hotels in the city centre which is only a couple of tube stops/half hour walk to the venue as well.
