Thanks for a fun tournament all. Very interesting to play three new opponents and against lists I wasn't experienced with.
For once my spaceship game was on point. My terminators on the other hand …
GlynG AMTL: ended up with his monstrously large true scale lucius warlord on my blitz, but managed to get a t4 victory after fiiiiinaly getting the blitz guard artillery warlord out of the way. Fairly 'standard' AMTL game I think, titans marched to blitz, marines tried to hide/stall/fly around. I probably shouldn't have fed my termintors to a CCW warlord.
Scale clash: the monster that sat on my blitz, with one of my thawks perched on its shoulder.
Tom Death Guard: mid table brawl. sort of cagey sort of meat grinder. we deployed right opposite each other with 5 of the 6 objectives between our two deployment blobs. My scouts and tacticals managed to hold the middle table, though not entirely through choice, as they were ringed by 14 zombies. I couldn't push fully into Tom's half, Tom couldn't push into mine, called T3 with a points advantage draw to me.
Tom had nurgle but it was my dice that were filthy, I rolled a LOT of 6s for armour saves. With more typical rolls this game would probably have been Toms. That said, DG AA defilers are disgusting (though, fortunately for me, a bit unsteady on their feet…)
Late-middle T3 with tacticals, scouts, and a second formation of scouts jut breaking just breaking mid table, surrounded by broken zombies.
SteveC Dark Eldar: intense game of getting slapped in the face by stuff that kept running away. I failed to get any traction and lost BTS in turns 1 and 2, but then podded onto Steve's blitz while barraging my own blitz t3. This meant I clawed a 2–3 loss from what had been looking like 0–3 loss.
LV 4+ save raiders are apparently unkillable (my amazing dice in game 2 reversed in game 3, though it woulndn't have helped much, as I was absolutely outmanoeuvred regardless) .
