Meh, chaos thunderhawks are a bit uninspriring imo. They're as fragile as a vampire when you get down to it - once landed two plinks and a unit within 15cm and it's toast. Good for a single assault, but definitely not the same level of usefulness as the Marine one.

I quite like the idea of them as a one shot delivery or (and this is harder to pull off) extraction system for cheap EC termies!

Looks like the UK is the only team not bringing some form of eldar! I imagine we'll be cursing hit and run by the end of the event! :{[]

I just have to do some basing and a quick bit of edge highlighting on 12 stands of infantry and two war engines. That's pretty organised by my standards! Very excited. Seems like my Ryanair flight has survived all the cancellations. Fingers crossed.

Doing the last red the disasembled miniatures, so need to

Paint the red.
Clean other colours.
Varnish it all.
Assemble the miniatures.
Do the Bases.

Luckely I have the day off Friday, so "lots" of time.

Looks great already Corran, I'm gonna struggle to compete with that (both in painting and on the battlefield ;D)!

Also, is anyone planning on going for drinks and/or dinner on Friday night?

Yeah, defintely. I arrive at 17:15 and as I look forward to not bringing any paint to the hotel room to paint the last bits during night (yes, this happened) I might be available around 7pm. Some I think are planning to have matches that evening already but I rather like to go for a stroll something to eat and some beers. So, shall we set up some WhatsApp group or sth to align those willing to join?

Cheers

Already to go.

Anyone else staying at the Cabinn City?

Oh and a stupid question for the locals, can you use cash on public transport?

I know the Germans are going out on Friday, Tim. Some of them are also coming to the venue for a game, I think.

We could use help at the venue, setting up and stuff as we can't get access before 20.00. If people are up for it. There will be cold beverages :)

Otherwise, you should see as much of the town as possible. The weather has actually been quite nice these past days, but of course it's raining today. If you need any recommendations on where to eat/drink or shop, let me know. Downtown city can quickly become a quagmire of touristy places and prices if you dont know where to go.

We are setting up a table for an Epic buy/sell/swap if you want to bring any old leftover lead.

//Thomas

I'm flying in on the Friday night and leaving on the Sunday Night so it will be mainly just gaming and eating for me. Mother-in-Law is going sightseeing for me instead.

Yes, cash only actually on the busses. Credit card for the ticket machines.

It can be affordable for your mother-in-law to get a two day pass or something. But on the other hand, Cabinn City is in close proximity to the city centre.
