DK, we should look into doing trash and travel up there for this!

The last time we did anything like that I ended up in a chorus line as a dancing girl in Nicaragua.

That was the worst trip to get ice cream in the history of the world...

Nice.

It'll be good to finally meet you Centurion. All those Eldar I bought from you years ago finally had thei3 first outing. They won't be ready for Adepticon though.

Dave,
Is there a pdf for the Attack/Defend scenario? I have the other two but couldn't find that one.
Thanks.

It'll be a port of the DS2 scenario (first page, right column): http://downloads.groundzerogames.co.uk/ ... II-Pt2.pdf

I'm hoping to update the others too and get them all up on the Adepticon website.

Here you go. If you're willing, some feedback/proof reading is welcome.

I figure they'll be okay, but just want to double check: I'm planning on playing Knights, but using Ork mechs to represent them. For example, this is a unit of Errants.

They should be constructed in such a way as to make it relatively easy to point out and differentiate the different unit types during games. Any objections to this level of "proxying"? I could go with something else, but these will be the easiest to get built and painted in time.

As a non-attendee (and slightly tongue in cheek), what are non-Eldar players and non-air assault players supposed to do in these missions? ;D

Having play tested the first two 3+ times each they're still pretty fair to ground pounding armies.

The extra turn plus no objectives in Escalating Engagement leads to aggressive manoeuvring. If one army is outnumbered one turn keeping the formations around the baseline to act as bait for the next turn works well. With no ability to hit the reserves before they come in they can set up some good assaults along the table edge.

With the armies starting 50cm further apart in Encounter we saw turn 3 replace turn 2 as the most important turn. The game going for up to 6 turns helps to mitigate for the foot sloggers, but the slower formations usually ended up guarding the objectives closest to their side's edge anyway.

Thanks.

I'd missed that they default to six turns which really helps, and also helps distinguish them from the grand tournament scenario. Also it makes a huge difference that they're all single games rather than a tournament of all three with a single list - for example for the escalation game it's not such an issue for Death Guard having all their AA on a 15cm speed unit when you can write a list purely for that scenario and have almost all your formations turn up on turn three.

I'll definitely try these out if I can find a long enough gaming session for a six turn game.
