Luke and I played our game last night. It was a cagey and tense affair punctuated by bouts of brilliant and awfull dice throwing (Luke rarely threw less than 4+, while I rarely threw higher than 3+ ). In the end, once the dust had settled, we both managed to defend our own flags while failing to gain any other goals, so a 1-1 draw.


(PS. I won the "1"s contest hands down, 23-14 )

And it has begun!

My Necrons will be with me tomorrow and if i can achieve the formal approval this weekend as well then i am ready for my first game next week. Can't wait!

You guys are playing at the weekend? Monday should be good, Les's dark angels are facing my sneaky eldar and (possibly) Flo's necrons are debuting against Mark's terminators.

Last night's result between Les's dark angels and my eldar was a 5-0 turn 3 win to the Eldar. Result doesn't really reflect the ebb and flow of the game and I got very lucky winning the initiative roll on turns 1 and 2.

It was great to see the necrons first outing.



There was some uncertainty about order of teleporting but it was played correctly - taking turns but marines choosing to make necrons start (FAQ for special rule 1.4.2).
