To celebrate this year release of the EpicUK Tyranid Codex we'll be having the 3rd Annual EpicUK Xmas Megabattle at Warhammer world
Following on from the Ork victory over the Imperium http://www.epic-uk.co.uk/batrep/OpMG/opmgmain.shtml and last year Eldar victory over Chaos this year we are planning a Tyranid assault on an Imperial City.

At the moment we have 8 players confirmed
Tiny-Tim, MikeT, Kev101 + Dptdexys providing approx 16-17k of nid attackers
Braveheart, Steve54, MarkP + Jez providing approx 14k of defenders

The plan is to play from about 10-6 over around 3 tables. Anybody who wants to get involved is very welcome - PM me or just post here so we can make sure the sides are balanced.

I'm interested, but a) most of my stuff is non-GW and b) I'm a total noob and wouldn't want to be an albatross.... I might come along to watch for a bit and meet some of the guys..... it would probably help me learn the game too

I must get my orks painted and assembled and get over to WHW on a thursday evening soon....

Well I played on thursday at WHW using necrons, and both my+Kevs SM are evil. mike will be using otter-harridans.

Really the GW staff have no idea what epic models there are or have been made in the past

This sounds tempting: I've got no nids, but have plenty of Marines / IG / Vac that would be eligible - perhaps I can catch up with the protagonists at the weekend?

Thanks to tiny-tim, dptdexys, kev101. miket, braveheart, mark P, kev101 and kyussinchains for a great game. 36k of nids vs IG certainly attracted a lot of interested onlookers and looked fantastic.

Thanks to everyone for a great day, you can tell it was a really fun day when you think you've been gaming for 3 or 4 hours and it turns out to be double that.

No, it was ok this year. Jackets off!!

Special mention to Bravehearts defensive strategy of rolling into a ball and getting stamped on - never have 7k of IG been brushed aside so easily
