Another tournament year has closed at Epic Towers with the conclusion of the 2010 GT. Congratulations to all who attended making it the largest Epic-UK tournament in over four years. After five hard fought rounds Steve Gullick was crowned champion by virtue of total wins over second placed Dave Thomas. Third place went to Joe Jephson. Ryan Downes’ Orks took away the judges’ best army award with Richard Larking securing the players choice for best army with his Eldar. After a four way dice off Darren Reeks was awarded the Most Sporting award. Full results can be found

Whilst the final results didn’t affect the overall Championship his third place ensured that Joe Jephson was crowned the Epic-UK Champion for 2010 with a total of 72 points 18 points clear of second place, taken by Steve Gullick. Dave Thomas, the previous champion 2 years running, came in third. 34 of the 40 players that attended an event picked up championship points this year. Final championship table is

Final work is ongoing with the Eldar and Tau codexes which will be released at the end of the year. The next tournament on the calendar is Winter Warmer down in Bristol on the 15th/16th Jan. Tickets are also on-sale for Full Scale Assault 5th/6th Feb and Into the Breach 12th/13th March. Book early to avoid the VAT increase!
