To promote the 'random' approach, I suggest that each club assign a number to each player, then the 1st game will be played by matching up player 1 from each club, player 2 from each club etc. Note the player's numbering does not indicate his ability. I agree that other games would be arranged by the usual swiss system, and that the club totals would be the sum of the player's from each team.

Apart from the initial random match-up, everything else seems fine.

As to webcams and speakers I suspect this may not be desirable. Heckling may easily be turned into assisting one or other player, and we do not have an equivalent to FIDE to punish such misdemeanours. ;)

Sounds sensible to me, although i think we might as well put the lists up once they've all been submitted

Sounds good ;)

If Gavin is playing Iyanden I can play Orks or Biel Tan so I think we're good in terms of all different lists.

Apart from random round one and Swiss system I think 3 rounds, 3 different opponents would also be good. (variety is better than rematches)

I sort of assumed we'd be doing swiss w/ different opponents, everything sounds ok. Webcam idea seems good but will I need to choose entrance music?

I suspect that SLW will have the moral ground over CLWC if we are able to take Epic Euros-style diversely different armies and CLWC can only rustle up differently coloured Eldar armies! ;D ;)

Mock-us now till the red Eldar, blue Eldar, yellow Eldar and white humans stomp you into the ground! >:D

Webcam would be EPIC!
Let me look into that ;D

Though i'll try to get the usual live ticker going on the day. :)

I'll also get the trophy sorted on Sunday so if anybody likes to give input about the engraving please do so beforehand.

About army lists, should we just say that both TO's publish the lists on Sunday the 10th of May?

So we've got iyanden, ulthwe, biel Tann, Sann haim and Mr Gonzo's guard. Seems varied enough to me. :-)

We didn't have enough vampires between us for Mr G to play Eldar. Shame.

Oh, I don't know about that - I think I many have enough Vampires for three players, along with a concerning number of other aircraft and titans. I also have five formations of guardians, rangers, falcons, bikes and Night spinners as well as multiples of Wraith formations, EoV and aspects.

Thinking about it, I could just about field all the Eldar forces for the CLWC - - - if the other actually wanted to use them :geek :D

No worries, I will have them 3D printed ;D

On a more serious geeky note, the official event poster is now live!
Please share where appropriate. If you need a larger size contact me directly please.
I'll have nice A3 prints made and will bring them down to Dark Sphere this week.

Hope you like it as much as i do :)

Ha, lets call this a minor design flaw :nooo

Not that the positioning of the boxers are an actual representation of the clubs.
Otherwise i would have of course instructed to have CLWC towering over the puny SLW. ;D

The cup will be next. :)

It represents the rope a dope strategy we'll be using. Let you guys get all punched out before hitting you with all the vampires!

The eldar/vampire thing is a total bait and switch. Or is it?
