Good to see this and you getting so many players :) Beautiful scenery!

I can't really afford it this year but would plan to come next year, if you think you'll run it again?

If someone could make English translations of the codexes I think this would encourage more people here to go. The codexes are somewhat different and I can understand most of it, with the help of online translation anyway, but some bits are still unclear to me.

We are happy you will come to play with us Largo_W :-) Now we have people from Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, France and maybe Italy. We really hope players from UK will come to !

I don't know yet if we will have another tournament next year we will let you know asap. We know the Codex are in french but pretty easy to understand for an EA player. We will talk about an english version but it's a huge work.

Well, if you're able to point out the differences in each list in contrast to the Net:EA list, understanding the french ones would be much easier.

That might be quite a task too! The differences are extensive in some of the lists but minor in others.

I've had a good go through of the Space Marines list and noted changes I can see below. It's mostly possible to understand the list and see the differences, despite me not speaking any French, but the special rules are beyond me and I can't tell if they're the same or if there are any differences.

Librarians have a 30cm MW4+ attack as well as their FF attack
Supreme Commander is only 50
Hunter is 50pts
Vindicators have a 5+ reinforced save, are +65 and Demolisher Cannons in French are 30cm MW4+ and give MW to the unit's FF. The French version does not have walker.
Predators have 5+ reinforced armour
It's not possible to field a mixed formation of the two different types of Predators
Tactical and Devastator formations have the option to add 0-2 of the following: Predators (either type) +65, Land Raider +75
Razorback with twin heavy bolters has FF4+
Dreadnoughts are fearless
Land Speeder Tornado and Typhoon have FF4+
French Tornados cost +10 points
French Typhoons cost +25 points
Devestator shooting is 2 x AP5+/AT5+ but their FF is 4+
Terminators cost 300 with an optical +50 point upgrade to have the teleport ability
Drop Pods can carry Scouts
Thunderhawk heavy bolters on the left and right arcs are range 30cm. It costs 225 and is included in the titan/air 1/3
Landing Craft 3 x heavy bolters are range 30cm, it costs 400 and is included in the titan/air 1/3
The Warhound critical is only the original stagger (they didn't change it to also cause one extra damage like the Net-EA and Epic-UK lists did a few years ago)
Warlord Titan in French is 850
Thunderbolts may double up and add 2 additional Thunderbolts to their formation for +150
Thunderbolts have a special rule in their notes that gives them some kind of special save. I've put it through babelfish (online translator) but can't make sense of it.
Marauders are 2DC WE (crit = destroyed) aircraft, 6+ save, their fixed forward twin lascannons only have AA5+, instead of 2 x 15cm AA5+ all-round heavy bolters they have 1 x 30cm AA5+ all round heavy bolters and 1 x 30cm AA5+ heavy bolters fixed to the rear, 300 points for 2 in a formation

It's interesting to see an alternate take in the list and units! Drop Podding 5 x Scout formations into the enemy seems abusable and annoying for the opponent but Dreadnoughts having fearless makes them work taking. The French AA game seems quite different as they've abandoned the convention of having reduced ranges for many AA weapons, as well as other changes.

The IWC will be in French and English.
Obviously we will try to help the non French speakers as much as possible.
In Brussels in 2009 and 2010 we understood it's not that hard to to make French and English speakers play together.

Drop pods can carry scouts? Do they still have deathwinds? If so 16 units of scouts in pods, a strike cruiser and a unit of terminators could be a bit tasty. Someone tell Dan1314!

I believe so yes. Scouts in Drop Pods was allowed in the original epic rulebook but Net-EA and Epic-UK wisely prevented it.

A strike cruiser can only drop 20 stands remember so only 5 units of scouts dropped, but that's still a lot of cheap Deathwind on the opponent.

GW actually made it official in the 2008 review following feedback from the community .
