For the glory of the Emperor!

Hey all, I'm back. It's been a long crusade in the wilderness of EPIClessness, but I've made my way through the Warp to a place where EPIC is loved and cherished. I think I've played more EPIC in the past month than I did in the previous year! So, that's definitely been reinvigorating!

I've still got a lot of projects on my backburners, but this list has always been one of my favourites and I thought I should update it a bit to get people trying it again. I had a recent match against Armiger84's Iron Warriors which was a really great game.

So, without further ado, I present the SARANES EXPANSE IMPERIAL CRUSADE ARMY LIST v1.4

Changes:

- Tweaked various point costs to map them to changes to Marine and/or Guard list

- Changed Commissar rule to allow slightly more Commissars

So, please, take a look, tear it apart, ask questions, and PLAY!

It's good to be back!

Cool, thanks for the link!

And the "Saranes Expanse Crusade" was a campaign we played back in Hamilton a LONG time ago; I stuck the name on the list when I first submitted it to the Specialist Games List Competition specifically so it WOULDN'T have any baggage from "real" 40k history.

And, while people may think those Terminators are a kick-ass option coupled with Guard Arty has never had to use SR3 teleporters! *laugh*

I've certainly not seen the list dominate in play, but I'll take that other thread to heart with regard to pruning things.

Yeah, he and the beloved list is back. Nice start, definitly give it a try. You may adress the armyforge guys about the changes?

I like how this list has no Artillery or Terminators, the common targets of complaints of "cheese!" Think you can take it for a spin, Rug? I'm going to see how, on paper, it stack up to a similar build using Steel Legion list for cost-per-model comparison.

As to the Marine armour question, both types of Predators should be allowed, and I'll revisit those point costs; were the Vindie upgrade costs changed in the base Marine list?

I really like this. In fact I've made an update to ArmyForge to bring it to 1.4. What do you think about adding Stormsword option to Super-Heavy Tank Company/Platoon?

Glad you like it!

As much as I like putting new options into lists, I think adding another super-heavy option to the list will bring more complaints of "everything and the kitchen sink".

What do you think the Stormsword adds to the list?

Well, I just think that epic IG army lists has too few options in comparison to the wh40k counter-parts. That's why I've asked. And what fluff is behind the saranes? I hven't found any info on lexicanum.
