Hi! After about 8 years I actually managed to play a game! Actually its the second game, but I so hopelessly screwed up that one that I decided to play another which went very well and I documented it. Game parameters Several alternate rules systems were tested in this game. 1. Combined Activation system (aka Billser-geddon) 2. Flanking rules 3. Titan Plasma Generation 4. Alternate damage tables 5. Scream's flyers alternate rules I also played a variant for objective control determination where the side with most models within 15cm controls the objective. This was done to shorten the length of the play test. In addition I like to add effects to the objectives. They were as follows: 1. Bunker objectives give +1 CAF to all models in building 2. Auspex station. Increase 25cm range to units within 15cm 3. Missile battery. Give AA cover when controlled. Use hydra battery stats. Off table deployment was used for the first turn. No units on table at games start. Without further ado, the battle..... Primarch |

The noisy rumble of the promethium fueled engine often makes my mind wander. I remember a tale my mother told me about the strange ruins that pockmark many of the barren landscapes of Avignor, a small world in the Segmentum Obscurus. The story spoke of the “mirror stones”. The strange obelisks at the center of the many ancient ruins from a time long forgotten. The tale spoke about dark stormy nights where the stone would glow forming a magical mirror from which the “star people” would walk through from their godly dimensions. Sometimes they brought wisdom, other times vengeance. My mind returns to the present as the vox traffic pulls me from my reminiscing. My mother's tale was no mere story, but grim reality. A fortnight ago defense outposts from the Cyranea Plains reported a hostile foe appear from nowhere that promptly engaged and destroyed the meager outposts that were set to guard against Cylcodon beasts that roam the plains and sometimes stray into the more fertile lands to the south. It was only the beginning. Reports soon filtered of other such incursions all over the continent of Avignor Prime. It did not take logical cogitator to deduce a full scale invasion had begun. But how? The system perimeter monitor ships registered to hostile fleet. How did they evade the planetary defenses to land in such numbers? The questions were soon answered as satellite reconnaissance pictographs showed the forces were emanating from strange “gates” in the heart of the ancient ruins that are strewn across the continent. The “star people” had returned and they brought death..... -Ivor Fedrych commander of the Avignor cohort primus. Senior officer of ground forces in sector Prime. Primarch |

He sat in the lotus position for seemed like an eternity. The flurry of activity around him faded into the background as he gave himself to the trance. As his mind wanders the many mystic runes that adorn his raiment light up with a brilliant glow. For no member of his race can touch upon the empyrean and survive without such protections. Soon he finds what he seeks, a powerful presence that seems to bend the space around it into a safe cocoon No audible words were spoken as this being impresses on his mind what lies ahead. A myriad of time lines, possibilities, realities. In an instant the battle unfolds in a preview of the most likely outcomes. There is no need for questions as the images are cataloged within his mind. Once done the link ends and he acknowledges the will of the transmitter. “May the will of Asuryan be done Farseer”. As quickly as it begun he is once more amongst the battle host, the sounds of preparation races back to his senses. He stands, somewhat weary of his exertions as the runes upon him begin to dim. His mind already formulating the most efficient and optimal path. It was no coincidence he was chosen for this task. He was adept at the craft of war. After all he was almost trapped within the path of war, destined to be one of the Exarchs. But his ability to manipulate the empyrean set him apart. He accepted his path, but the call of Khaine beat strongly within him. He would be afforded the opportunity to once more be one with Khaine as the psychic scream of something both terrible and glorious pierces the warp gate. The physical manifestation of his races hate has arrived and he would guide it to eradicate the human infestation on this planet. For the star children have returned to claim what is rightfully theirs! -Zyr Darkmantle Warlock Commander of Battle Host Asuryan Primarch |
