That pic is from early doors
Turn 1 summary:
Titans won strategy and made Tau go first, Razorsharks stripped a shield from the BTS reaver, a warhound then doubled up and broke the central pathfinder formation. The second razorshark squadron stripped another shield from the BTS reaver, then the protector hit it with both pinpoints, doing 5 damage, of the 3 hits that bypassed the shields, two went critical, this also broke the reaver. The AT force then advanced, thanks to doubling and cover, their shooting was less than optimal and they didn't do huge amounts of damage to the tau forces. The tau concentrated on stripping as many shields as possible, while the singleton knights proved to be highly irritating, this was a sign of things to come. In the end phase, Dave rolled for his crit effect and the dice came up snake eyes, turning his BTS into a mushroom cloud....
Turn 2 Summary:
Titans won strategy, the leftmost reaver opened up on the tau BTS, leaving it close to breaking, while one of the knights engaged a riptide formation, however after two rounds of combat, the knight lost and ran away to camp near the tau blitz. This allowed the tau to move the second fire warrior formation up to maarkerlight the reaver, and strip more shields, then the XV107 formation sustained in a crossfire and destroyed it, two reavers down but I realised I had been ignoring the fast formations.... I managed to break the 3rd reaver, and a warhound with planes, but my stupid riptides couldn't even hurt the nearby knight.... most importantly however, the Reaver failed to rally....

Turn 3 Summary:
Tau won strategy roll, the XV107s destroyed one warhound with a meaty markerlit sustain fire, while the riptides near my blitz failed to even scratch the knight, despite a sustain fire action.... the knight marshalled and moved to my blitz, the other knight then engaged and wiped out my pathfinders leaving the warhound as the final unbroken activation, I decided to march the fire warriors up to box the warhound in so it couldn't get to the titan blitz or a T&H objective, the titan then shot and killed a few but crucially remained stuck, which left the riptides to jumo onto the AT blitz, while the XV107's camped on a T&H objective, my aircraft failed to break the knight on my blitz (damn you ATSKNF!) which left it at 3:1 to the Tau (BTS, Blitz, T&H vs Blitz)
Overall a fun game, had some crucial dice not gone my way at crucial times, it could have been very different, my spaceship getting a pair of crits on Dave's reaver before it could activate, and the r'varna suits getting off back-to-back crippling sustain fire actions to destroy a reaver and a warhound in succession probably swung it firmly in my favour.... as always Dave didn't make it easy and used his knights really well.... to be honest I felt the knights were a little bit good, harder to break than a warhound, more resilient too, coupled with rolling 6 dice in engagements and being fearless, all for 200pts..... bargain!
still it's hard to complain too much when you came out on top....
