Me and Norto decided to have another go at the LatD Redux list again. We're trying to come up with OP builds but so far everything that has looked crazy good on paper ends up being just ok when used. I found this list kinda interesting:

I clumped my guys together with the altar coven (being the BTS) hiding in a set of ruins near the blitz. One coven was garrisoned in ruins on a hill in the middle of the board. Nortos army was pretty evenly stretched out in his deployment zone.
Before the roll off i decided to teleport in both formations of zombies in front of 2 of the faster Ork units (warbikes and scorchas) to tie them up in their deployment zone.

TURN 1: Orks win initiative.

O1.1: Warbikes engages zombies. 3 zombies die for the loss of 1 bike. Orks win combat but zombies just shifts around a little.
O1.2: Scorchas retains and engages other zombies. 5 out of 7 zombies die for no ork losses. zombies barely move
LatD1.1: Garrisoned coven goes on OW with the help of the SC.
O1.3: Fighter-bombas ground attack Mechanized coven killing 1 transport (2BM).
LatD1.2: Altar Coven advances deeper into ruins.
O1.4: Gunwagons engages broken zombies wiping them out.
LatD1.3: Mechanized coven Marshalls and moves forward.
O1.5: Supa-stompa mob doubles and fires on garrisoned coven killing 1 stand (3BM).
LatD1.4: Lord of Battles doubles and fires on garrisoned stormboyz killing 1 (2BM).
O1.6: Fighter-bombas ground atatcks garrisoned coven for 1BM.
LatD1.5: Lord of Battles doubles forward.
O1.7: Mechanized warband holds and regroups.
LatD1.6: Lord of Battles doubles forward.
O1.8: Stormboyz marches.
LatD1.7: Lord of battles advances and fires into stormboyz hiding in ruins killing 1 (2BM).
O1.9: Big gunz douvles into ruins and fires on garrisoned coven for 1BM.
O1.10: Garrisoned stormboyz doubles in front of the 3 Lord of Battles whos having a toga party behind the hill.
O1.11: Landa ground attacks garrisoned coven destroying the technical (2BM).

END PHASE:

zombies rallies.

O2.1: Supa-stompa mob sustains on garrisoned coven killing 2 stands (4BM).
LatD2.1: Gaarrisoned coven marshalls and moves behind hill.
O2.2: Fighter-Bombas ground atatck altar coven doing 1DC to the Altar (2BM).
LatD2.2: Lord of Battle Holds, even with the help of the SC, and fires into stormboyz in ruins killing 2 breaking them.
O2.3: Fighter-Bombas stand down.
LatD2.3: Mechanized coven holds and moves.
O2.4: Scorchas engages zombies killing 4 for no losses. they win the combar and the zombies shift around a little.
LatD2.4: Altar coven marshalls and throws a Bavarian Beer festival in the ruins.
O2.5: Gunwagons doubles and fires on Lord of Battles doing 1DC (2BM).
LatD2.5: Lord of Battles engages stormboyz wiping them out for no losses.
O2.6: Mechanized warband doubles forward and fires on Lord of Battles for 1BM.
LatD2.6: Lord of Battles doubles forward and fires on gunwagons killing 1 (2BM).
O2.7: Big gunz sustains on Lord of Battles for 1BM.
LatD2.7: Lord of Battles advances and fires on gunwagons killing 3 breaking them.
O2.8: Landa air assaults zombies without unloading it's troops. with the support of bikes and scorchas 4 zombies dies and the landa wins the combat.
O2.9: Warbikes marches up the board next to mechanized coven.

END PHASE:

Stormboyz rallies
Gunwagons rallies
Zombies rallies.

LatD3.1: Altar coven summons 6 demons and goes on OW (air assault this ya filthy greenskins!)
O3.2: Big gunz sustain on Lord of Battles doing 3DC and 2 crits. The gigantic murdering machine runs amok.
O3.3: Mechanized warband retains and doubles, firing on same Lord of Battles breaking it.
LatD3.2: Zombies marches to be in the way of the supa-stompa mob.
O3.4: Gunwagons holds and regroups.
LatD3.4: Lord of Battles advances and fires on Scorchas killing 1 (2BM).
O3.5: Scorchas engages zombies and wipes them out for no losses.
LatD3.5: Coven summons 1 demon, doubles and fires on mechized warband for 1BM.
LatD3.6: Lord of battle retains with the help of the SC and engages the warband doing no damage at all but looses 1DC in retirn and looses the combat (ouch!).
O3.6: Fighter-Bombas stand down.
LatD3.7: Lord of Battles advances and fires on supa-stompa for 1BM.
O3.7: Supa-stompa mob golds and fires on Lord of Battles doing 2DC and 2 crits! The Lord of Battles does his frenzy dance (3BM).
O3.8: Stormboyz doubles.
O3.9: Fighter-bombas ground attacks broken mechanized coven killing 5 stands in total.
O3.10: Landa ground atatcks altar coven for 1BM.

END PHASE:

Mechanized coven fails to rally.
Lord of Battles fails to rally.
Lord of Battles fails to rally.

O4.1: Warbikes engages altar coven. They kill 1 stand for the loss of 5 bikes and loose the combat.
O4.2: Mechanized warband retains and engages coven on central hill killing a few stands and wins the combat.
LatD4.1: Lord of Battles engages mechanized warband, rolls a 1 on the DTT test which becomes a crit! Luckily the random movement takes him into base contact with a battle wagon of the warband. 2 rounds of combat are fought and 5 units of orks perish for no damage to the Lord of Battles. The gigantic murder machine is victorious.
O4.3: Supa-stompa mob fires on altar coven killing 1 stand (3BM).
LatD4.2: Lord of Battles sustains on scorchas killing 4 and breaks them.
O4.4: Big gunz holds and fires on Lord of Battles for 1BM.
O4.5: Fighter-bombas ground atatcks altar coven for 1BM.
O4.6: Gunwagons double.
O4.7: Fighter-bombas ground atatcks alrat coven doing 1DC to the altar (2BM).
O4.8: Landa stands down.

END PHASE:

Warband fails to rally
Lord of Battles rallies.
Scorchas fails to rally.
Mechanized coven rallies.
Warbikes fails to rally.
Lord of Battles fails to rally.
Coven rallies.

Thoughts:

Once again a "OP build" proves to be not that OP. The thought of 4 LoB:s steaming forward looked way more bad-ass on paper than in the actual game. They did earn me the draw though like mos tlists with lots of high DC WE units will do (like feral orks, titans and Gargants). But the low strategy rating (which led to me loosing the initiative for every turn!) and the 2+ activation on everything kinda balances out the great units you have available.
I would like to do a mirror match with theese lists and see how it goes. Maybe if you march all the LoB:s right over the board turn 1 and then go crazy with engagements turn 2 and 3 it might work differently...

Heap of fun once again.

I keep looking at stuff too but then theres the shiz strat and the 4/5+ to rally.

Didnt see you pointing out but soooo many crits. It was hilarious. Glad it didnt make an impact on the game. And the zombies at the start making 7 out of 9 saves.

Happy to have another if you like with it.
