Had a game with the new OGBM list today. Managed to lure UvenLord out of his cave and made him play me.

Setup:

Blitz objectives where placed opposite sides against each other. ! SM objective went to the far right flank, the rest ended up in the middle.

Both armies set up in the middle. I was happy for this. Only garrisons where devastators.

TURN 1: SM wins Initiative.

SM: Thunderbolts goes on CAP:
O: Great Gargant doubles forward, fires on Devastators garrisoned in a forest in front of it. 1BM.
SM: Devs in forest sustains on Great Gargant, slipping 2 shields.
O: Supa-Stompa Holds and fires on devastators, killing 1 stand (3BM).
SM: Tacticals doubles forward.
O: Gargant doubles forward, firing on devastators for 1BM.
SM: Tacticals on right flank doubles forward.
O: Supa-Stompa doubles forward and fires on tacticals for 2BM.
SM: Warhound advamces forward and fires on Great Gargant, stripping 3 shields.
O: Supa-Stompa doubles forward and fires on devastators for 2BM.
SM: Tacticals advances forward and fires on Great Gargant, stripping 1 shield (1BM).
O: Fighter-Bombas ground attack devastators breaking them. 1 plane is lost due to AA.

Terminators teleport in close to Supa-Stompa by ork blitz.

TURN 2: SM wins Initiative.

SM: Land speeders sustains on supa-stompa. strips 2 shields and does 1 DC (2BM).
SM: Terminators retains and engages Supa-stompa. They only manage to do 2DC on the Supa-Stompa but are wiped out from massive support fire from the Gargant, the Great Gargant and another Supa-Stompa (ouch!). Land speeders takes 1BM for supporting the loosing side.
O: Gargant engages Tacticals behind hill. Kills 2 rhinos and 1 stand but looses 2DC in the process. The Gargant wins the combat.
O: Supa-Stompa retains and sustains on Predators killing 1 (3BM).
SM: Predators advances forward and fires on Supa-Stompa and destroys it.
O: Supa-Stompa near ork blitz engages land speeders. Kills 3 and wins the combat for the loss of 1 shield.
SM: Devastaors marshall and removes 2BM. Moves into forest.
O: Great Gargant doubles forward and fires on BTS-tacticals, killing 2 rhinos and 1 hunter (4BM).
SM: Warhound doubles forward and fires on Supa-Stompa, breaking it.
O: Fighter-Bombas ground attacks warhound near blitz for 1 BM. Loose 1 plane to AA.
SM: BTS-tacticals holds and moves back towards SM-Blitz.
O: Fighter-Bombas ground attacks warhound by ork blitz, stripping 1 shield (1BM).
SM: Tacticals doubles to ork blitz and fires on Supa-Stompa, stripping 2 shields (1BM).

END PHASE:

Tacticals fail to rally.
Land Speeders rallies.
Supa-Stompa rallies.

O: Gargant doubles back toward ork blitz and fires on tacticals for 1BM.
O: Supa-Stompa in forest who rallied in the last end phase retains and engages tacticals by the ork blitz. 4 stands and 2 rhinos dies with the help of supporting fire from the gargant. The Supa-Stompa wins the combat without a scratch.
SM: Thunderbolts ground attacks Supa-Stompa near ork blitz for 1BM.
O: Great Gargant doubles in between objectives on midline to prevent the SM from getting an easy T&H. Fires on Predators kiling 1 (2BM).
SM: Predators doubles to ork blitz and fires on Supa-Stompa, doing 1DC and breaking it.
O: Fighter-Bombas ground attack Land speeders for 1BM. 1 plane is lost due to AA.
SM: Land Speeders Marshalls and removes all BM:s. Then move in between objectives on midline climing DtF objective.
Fighter-Bombas ground attack Predators near ork blitz. 2 Preds die and the formation breaks.
SM: Warhound doubles to Ork blitz and claims Blitz objective.

SM wins 2-0 (DtF and Blitz) in Turn 3.

Post battle thoughts:

Well, firstly i screwed up royally moving my great gargant in the 3rd turn. I was so worried about denying T&H that i completly forgot about the DtF objective. If i had been more carefull and positioned my great gargant a couple of the centimeters to the right i'd had denied both things.
So basiclly my blunder cost me the game.

If i would have done it right the game would have been pushed to a fourth round. Me and UvenLord agreed that if that would have happened i would probably won on points. But thats just speculation.

UvenLord was smart and avoided my Great Gargant. In the first round i smiled eavily when he started stripping shields on it. I thouht he would try to take it down in assaults later.

"push em harder ladz" wasn't used by me during the game. UvenLord made sure to stay outside 35cm from me the whole time.

As always the bigger guys felt very resiliant and the being monsters in assaults.
Supa-stompas being able to put 2BM:s on formations was awesome.
But the list didn't feel like it had a solid answer for everything.
My complaint would be that it feels a little boring to play since you really only got 1 way to play it (2 objectives 30cm apart on the midline, push everything except a blitzguard towards them and try to engage as much as possible with the great gargant supporting every assault if possible). Either you win by anhiliating the enemy completly (due to them being overconfident in bringing down your gargants) or win by points.
But this is somewhat true for the AMTL list to so i think it's more about how big WE:s work within the rules.

I'll want atleast 5 battle reports with this version before looking for more changes. 1 is done, 4 more to go. Feel free to help out! :-)

Thanks for the report. As always it was easy to follow and i added it to the Battle Tracker here http://www.redsilico.com/armystats/view ... ame_id=423 but i forgot to change the total so it says that you forgot 75 instead of just 25, sorry.

The Marines did well but the assault to the Supa-Stompa i think that it was a bit too much suicidal even if they managed to destroy the Supa-Stompa, maybe would be better to assault the Gargant, using it to block support fire from the nearby Supa-Stompa, or the Blitz Supa-Stompa, and get more crossfire opportunities for the others.

About the next ones, please do one to test the new Stompa costs, as we haven't been playing lately at E:A around here so i am still eager to see how that change fares.
