Hi All,
Well we manage another game of epic. It was 3000 point per side and it was between Codex Astartes (NetEA Tournament Pack 2015) and Ulthwé Craftworld (4.2.1 alternative version)..

Trent played the Codex Astartes (NetEA Tournament Pack 2015) and I played the Ulthwé Craftworld (4.2.1 alternative version)..

Link to Ulthwé Craftworld (4.2.1alternative version)..

Link to AAR…

So you will notice that I am using the same utility that Pauljam uses for writing his reports, but it’s a updated version…A few more tweaks and I think the utility will make writing Batrep easier…

Nice report pfe200. Youve got the photo every activation down too.
With the victory conditions dont you generally need a margin of two to win? I might have read incorrectly but i thought this was 2:1

Thanks for reading guys...

Yep ,I sure did manage to get photos too, that's how I wrote the report.... ;D

Umm...you need to have more goals than your opponent and the other point is have two goals in the end phase of turns three or four to win..so a 1:1 is not a win, a 2:1 is, since you meet both conditions..

Whoops. Ive thinks we've been play that you need a margin of two, so 2:0 3:1 etc. But rulebook is as youve said. Makes things easier.

Interesting read, thanks.

Personally I found the addition of the stats a bit confusing, especially as the resulting kills achieved in the assaults were not reflected in the relevant places.
The summary of the formations was also less clear, what aspects were taken, what were the SoV units, what Land Speeders were used etc

Thanks for reading mate...

The new version will have less stats..I will talk to pauljam about the layout of the txt file the Program exports out..So the stats and notes are in the right order so to speak..This was straight cut and pasted from the txt file..little editing.. ;)

That's my fault on summary of the formations, since i over wrote ones done in armyforge in Open letter writer..Hey I'm only human ;D

I like the program since it will allow you to write report using mobile device...Next test run will be on laptop in the shed while playing a game..need to remember to take pictures.. :D

Thanks for the report. I'd like to echo Ginger's comments, but great to have you reporting again.

hey pfe.. the man is back again :D

thanks for getting the first one up! the batrep system for sure is nice as it will make repping so much easier and streamlined once available. so this is actually quite an encouragment and service to the community overall as motivation to do batreps will go up for sure. good thing!

and thanks for the game. though you did make use of the new upgrade options would you say that it was strategy rating that won you the game (though it was really bad luck to not get strategy won once for sm)? did the 2+ ini on the BGWH have serious impact on your decision making and they failed some of their activations (though they were used rather defensively as i guess from the report)? i guess the aspects were swooping hawks, right?

will line up games coming weeks

best regards
spee

Yeah, I think it will make doing Batreps easier and I hope people will post more of them...In the long run it can only be helpful for the game..

I think wining the SR each turn was big help and so I like few more games against SM to see...I don't see the 2+ ini on the BGWH having serious impact on my decision making, since like you side i was playing defensively. That was the plan... if facing IG, i don't think i would have been as defensive and would have closed to engagement range more quickly..and so the 2+ ini may have had a bigger impact, if i had failed more activation or key activation in the turn..but as always more testing is needed
