Thoroughly enjoyed reading these battle reports. I tend to agree with the firepower observation. Tau play most similarly to Eldar. They don't enjoy near the strenth in special rules and are downright garbage in comparison with engagement power. They do have generally better range mostly when looking at guided missiles though reliably marking stuff can be quite difficult.

Thanks for the read. Nice to see how others use the Tau, and against Titans too.
I assume you had the Supremacy Suits at 250 points each, and 2 Barracuda Squadrons for the 3000 points.

To my eye you are running with relatively few markerlight formations, only 4 out of 13.
And one of them is committed/oriented to an air assault with another providing the only
on table AA within a BTS formation that is optimised for long range shooting.

Perhaps I missed it but you did not seem to take advantage of the Co-ordinated Fire rule.
Throwing a recon formation forward to both markerlight and provide a crossfire base is a
useful way of scratching RA4+ titans.

Your experience with the potentially hard-hitting TK weaponry, AX-1-0 and
the Orbital Support, is for me a rather familiar occurrence. I also find the Crisis Suits
rather less hard hitting when facing an armour heavy opponent. The MW4+ is nice
(assuming you get to within 15 cm), the AT6+ on the missiles is rather less potent and
the Plasma Rifles oddly only scratch the paint.

Should have another Tau Vior'la game up on Mark's Hordes of Things site soon.
The last game was against Ork Titans: Epic 4K: Gargant Big Mob vs Vior'la Tau

Interesting reports, it's not common to see AMTL come out on top that decisively. Were you guys using the new updates for the Titans?

Interesting reports cheers. I tend to find that as soon as someone brings multiple volacano cannons overlords are in real trouble. Plus, Squats are odd in all forms against AMTL, either they have a cyclops so are really good against them. Or they have next to no TK & MW (a couple of barrage shots at best) so are essentially relying on crossfire or bezerkers in cc which is somewhat limited.

Thanks for the reports, interesting tests for all three lists.
