Awesome report! Just curious what models was your opponent using for his XV129 and Riptides?

Cheers, those are cheap plastic mechs but extensively converted, Andrew will probably be able to post the link.

Great report!

Just one question. On the setup pictures it seems like the Stompas are garrisoning of your own objectives in the opponents half. I thought that wasn't allowed? Or where they within 15cm of the Tau objective on the flank? Hard to see on the picture.

Also agree with you on Stompa comment. They're hard to justify even with the points lowered in this list. But thats a problem with their stats/structure i think and nothing we can really fix.

Cheers and yes the garrisoning was legal, extended from the flank objective the Tau placed (that's why most of the Stompas were not in cover!). And from my own Blitz in a line.

Thanks for the report. I agree on the Stompas and they only really work in larger games where they are not a main target. Also I rarely garrison them as I want to protect my activation count.

The Heavy Suits are em-4-minitures
The Mechs, SFP3.

They are very cheap. And very fast service.

I am happy with the Riptide models. Never really liked the bigger ones.
Have put together the "chicken walker" one in a couple of ways as an XV129.
And am much happier with that. Looks more mass-driver fire support.
Should feature in a near-future game - unless I get a camera and do a hobby post first, . . .
