Hi guys,
Nathan and I actually had this game a couple of weeks back but with all the activity of preparing Castle Assault last weekend I am only now getting time to type it up.

The Table plus objective set up
Force Deployment
Turn 1
SM- Win Strategy
SM- Predators double to cover towards center of the table.
I-Ranger go onto over watch
SM- Scouts go onto over watch
I – Night Spinners sustain fire on the Predators kill 1 for 4 BM.
SM- Warhound 1 doubles firing on the Storm Serpent doing 2 DC (no crit) and Breaking it. SS moved forward.
I – Wraithlords engage warhound 1 out of the SS destroying the titan and loosing 1 Wraithlord in return. WL consolidate into the forest nearby.
SM- Warhound 2 double forward firing on Sword of Vaul killing 3 and breaking them which they stay put.
SM- Whirlwinds Retain sustain on Wraithlords Killing 1 for 2 BM.
I – Wraithguard engage Predators and wipe them out for no casualties in return. They follow up towards Warhound 2.
SM- Tbolts CAP
I – Scorpions in the Vampire engage the Whirlwinds. The Hunter fires AA at the Vampire for 1BM. The Tbolts capped the Vamps doing 1 DC. During the engagment 3 whirlwinds are destroyed along with two stands of scorpions. Aspects win the dice roll yet both formations break due to casaulties and move away.
SM- Thawk fire on Wraithguard for 1 BM.
I –Swooping Hawks engage out of the wraith Gate the broken whirlwind and win destroying the remaining whirlwind.
SM- Tactical sustain on the landed Vampire for 1 BM.
I – The Vampire carrying the Wraithblades engages Warhound 2 which destroys the titan but loses 2 stands in return which breaks the formation.
SM- Land raiders double forward
SM- Bikes march down the flank
Rally
All flyers fly off. Everything rallies except the Wraithblades.
Turn 2
Iyanden win strategy
I – The Wraith Ship activates but there are no targets for it so no shot.
SM- Tbolts CAP
I – Wraithguard march back the center of the Iyanden deployment.
SM – Thawk fire on SOV for 1 BM.
I – Vampire lands and picks up the Wraithguard
SM- Land Raiders double forward destroying the Night Spinner formation.
I – The Storm serpent advances and fires on the land raiders for 1 BM.
SM- Scouts OW
I – Wraithlords double and fire on the Land raiders 1 BM.
SM- Tactical doubles forward
I – Rangers OW
I – SOV double and fire on the land raider 1 BM.
I – Swooping Hawks engage the land raiders neither cause any damage but the support fire from the SOV destroy one of the space marine tanks. The Land Raiders are wiped out after a terrible combat roll.
Rally
Thawk takes 1 DC from the fire storm for 2 BM. All other flyers fly off.
Wraithblade and Storm Serpent both rally.

Turn 3
Terminators and Avatar are both deployed this turn.
SM Win strategy
SM- Thawk attacks the Wraithlords for 1 BM.
SM- Terminators retain engaging the Wraithlord and calling an intermingled on the nearby Storm Serpent. The nearby rangers fire their OW killing one stand of terminators for 2 BM. Terminators destroy a single Wraithlord but are wiped out in return.
I – The storm serpent advanced firing on the tactical formation destroying a rhino for 2 BM.
SM- Tactical march back to the space marine blitz.
I – Wraithlord Marshall
SM- Tbolts ground attack the Storm Serpent destroying it.
I – The Avatar marches forward.
SM – Scouts OW
I – Scorpions march forward
SM- Bikes advance across forward.
I – SOV double fire on bikes 1 BM
I – Swooping Hawks double to be close to the bikes.
I – Vampire Carrying Wraithguard engage the bikes and wipe them out for no return casualties.
Iyanden get up 4-0, (DTF, TSNP, T&H, BTS)
It was a solid game and most things the Iyanden went for worked. Didn't see many failed activations which allowed to get some momentum in dealing with some of the more aggressive marine formations coming across the table. The gamble of the terminators into the Wraithlords unfortunately didn't pay off for him and had it have it would of certainly impacted the result of the game.
