Here's that IF game from last Wednesday. I've been remembering I left my memory card at home half-way to work every day this past week.

I think was pretty close to what CaptPiett used. We tested the Hyperios at 45cm but with AA5+. They got to shoot at least this game.

Hyperios Platforms go on Overwatch


Bikes double.


Whirlwinds break some Big Gunz, taking out the Zzap.


The Warlord doubles.


Hyperios go on Overwatch.


Fightas straffe the SC, taking a BM from the Hunter but smoking it and a Rhino.


The Landa coems in and engages. Two tacs and a Rhino make it away.


Scouts engage the Landa.


4 to 1 Orks.


The Scouts retreat as well.


A Mob attempts to march, fails and marshals.


Scouts double and lay a BM on the Landa mob.


Big Guns lay a BM on some Devastators.


Storm Talons take out three bikes.


Skochas double.


Vindicators double.


The Blitz doubles and lays a BM on the Scouts.


The Centurions double and take out a Gunwagon.


The mech Mob doubles and lays a BM on them.


Devastors rain fire upon them, a Battlewagon and two boys go down.


The Devastators lay a BM on the Big Guns with their Thudd Gun.

The Whirlwinds break the Skochas.


The Centurions engage the mech Mob.


Matt rolled my dice. My dice know their master.


The Orks manage to taken down two Centurions.


Orks win the Combat by 1.


The Blitz doubles on the Vindicators and lay a BM.


A mech Mob doubles and lays a BM on the Scouts.


The Vindicators double and take out a Big Gun.


Bikes double on the Scouts.


The Landa Mob engages them.


A Scout and a Rhino get away.


Storm Talons break the Big Gunz.


The Landa comes in a picks up its Mob. They get MVP.


Tacticals break the Blitz, taking two Gunwagons out.


The Mech Mob doubles and takes out a Vindicator.


Scouts marshal.


Big Gunz fail and regroup.


Devastors lay a BM on the Dread mob.


Fightas come in and lay a BM on the Storm Talons.


Hyperios overwatch.


The Dread Mob doubles.

Whirlwinds hit the Warlord for some stands.


Centurions engage the Bikes.


2 to 1, Marines. But the Orks pull off a win with their numbers.


The mech Mob on the left flank engages the Vindicators.


It wasn't pretty for the Marines.


Storm Talons lay a BM on the Bikes.


Bikes engage the Whirlwinds and Hyperios.


One each survive.


The Orks win and grab the Blitz.


We called it at this point as a Landa came in to get T&H with the Landa Mob disembarking.


The Big Gunz could have doubles for DTF.


And Marines could have denied TSNP.


3-0 Orks with Blitz, T&H and DTF.

wow.... that was pretty unfortunate for the marines... the centurions losing twice in a row was a big 'ouch' moment

how did you rate the hyperios? do they feel okay at 45cm AA5+?

They got a token shot or two in. It was harder to avoid them as opposed to the 30cm AA4+. We'll give it a few more games but I don't think they'll be a big point of contention.

it does more than double the AA area of the unit (what? roughly 2800 vs 6300 cm2). I think it's a good change and one that is not going to cause waves. The ability to lay a BM on an air formation is really critical to the game, especially orks, to activate in subsequent turns. I completely advocate testing and expect that we'll see it's right for the game.
