Had a VASSAL game against Apoc yesterday, here's what we used.

Hell Blades lay a BM on the Big Guns in the woods, and Fighta Bommer take out a Marine and a Rhino in the retinue on the hill.

The retinue on the road double up and lays a BM on the Big Guns on the hill. A mech horde doubles up and lays a BM on them.

The BTS in the woods take out a Dread and two Orks. The Landa assaults.

The Orks loose two Grotz and all but two Marines break.

Chosen double up and lay a BM on the Guns. The Blitz Brigade doubles and takes out the Decimator.

Predators double and take out a Gunwagon. The Skorcha's double and take out two Marines.

The retinue on the hill doubles and take out a Skorcha, the Bikes double and take out a Predator.

The Feral doubles and takes out four Warbikes, the foot horde doubles and breaks the Chosen.

Big Guns on the hill marshal, fail and regroup. Big Guns in the woods double and break the Predators. Ork BTS fails to march on a re-roll and moves.

Turn 2

The Feral sustains and the retinue advance on the Warbikes, they break. The Blitz Brigade doubles and takes out a Marine in the BTS.

The BTS attempts to sustain, fails and regroup. The Skorchas double and take out a Marine.

Predators double and lay a BM on the horde on the hill. The Landa horde doubles and lay a BM On the BTS.

Hell Blades stand down and the Mech horde doubles and lays a BM on the BTS.

The Cruiser comes in (failed turn 1), and Chosen engage the Big Guns.

Big Guns go down hard, Fighta Bommers straffe for a BM.

The Ork BTS doubles and lays a BM on the Feral. Big Guns double and take out a shield. The foot horde engages the BTS.

It goes poorly for the Orks, despite the support. The Landa comes in and pics up its horde and hacks down one Marine from the broken retinue.

Turn 3, Terminators teleport in.

After a sustain with the Feral, the Terminators engage the BTS and destroy it.

The Mech horde engages the Chaos BTS.

Image
The fearless Prince and Obliterator get away, and the supporting retinue breaks. The Orks loose two Battle Wagons and a Grot. The Blitz Brigade retains and breaks the Predators, taking one out.

Hell Blades break the Skorchas and Chosen contest Blitz while breaking the Big Guns. The Fighta Bommers come in hot and take out the Dread and a Marine to break the chosen.

Image
The Retinue leaves a Marine behind to try and deny T&H. The Landa comes in and grabs blitz after destroying the Chosen and supporting retinue. 2-1 Orks with Blitz and T&H to BTS.

Thanks for the game Dave. Only the second time i'd faced orks, so a very educational battle, certainly learned a respect for Zzaps :o

It was a fun game, and a good refresher in the joys of VASSAL gaming.

I enjoyed getting a third of my army into support on the Chaos BTS and Apoc enjoyed that none of it hit. :P
