IH: wins initiative, AL: goes first
TURN 1
AL: Stormserpent March straight across the board, retains
AL: Guardian Host 1 charges out of the Stormserpents gate and Engage the Clan. With some luck the Clan manage a draw in the first round (AL: manages to get 7+2MW hits but the Marines saves all but the MW, Iron Hands gets 4 hits on 4+ with reinforced and scores 2 kills…) Second round the AL: wins by rolling higher and scoring more (twice as many etc.) The Space Marines flee leaving the great Clan with only a terminator and landraider unit.

IH: Heavy Infantry moves and shoot at the stormserpent, lacking 1 cm to get the multimelta in range… only placing BM, retains
IH: Predators engage the Guardian host killing only one but the Heavy infantry supports and kills 5 more, hackdown kills the rest.
AL: Falcons double against the Predators killing one and almost breaking it.
IH: Thunderhawk with the Dreadnought Talon Ground assault the Revenants. Dreads manage to get a critical on one of the Titans but then rolls snake eyes in the assault. The Titans roll a six and hacks down the Hawk and the talon… (Perhaps not the smartest assault in this game)
AL: Nightspinners double against Heavy infantry placing a BM
IH: Warhound moves and shoot the Falcons killing 4! (and all AA)
AL: The second Stormserpent March across then Retains
AL: Aspects engage the Predators killing both and then hides in the forest.

IH: Second Thunderhawk lands and shoot at the first Stormserpent (knowing there are more Guardians “inside”) Scoring 4 hits with crossfire bonus. The Farseer rolls FOUR sixes and smiles…
AL: Scouts double against the Thunderhawk placing a BM
IH: Heavy doubles and fires against the second Stormserpent also with crossfire scoring 2 wounds and breaking the sucker.
AL: Jetbikes double across towards the Heavy infantry. The single viper manages to kill one rhino (with crossfire) placing 3 BM…
IH: Stormtalon hits the other Stormserpent making it flee.
AL: Revenants double towards the Warhounds causing one wound

End of a bloody turn one. Things not looking too good for the marines. IH: rallies everything AL: only rallies one Stormserpent.
TURN 2
AL: wins the initiative
AL: Revenants fires away at the Warhounds killing one and wounding the other. The last hound flees and everyone in sight gets a little scared…Retains (but fail…)
AL: Jetbikes Hold and shoots at the Heavy infantrykilling one marine.
IH: Heavy Infantry shoots Stormserpent and kills it. ( it was broken and suffered a wound…) Retain
IH: The other Heavy infantry Marshalls (and gets ready to be assaulted…) and shoots at the Nightspinners killing 2 and making the last one run away.
AL: Stormserpent moves and shoots the Heavy Infantry killing a Rhino. Retain
AL: Guardins emerge from the serpent engaging the Heavy Infantry. Kills it with a little help from his friends… (Guardins loose both their Wraithguards in the process)

IH: Dread Talon shoots at the Scouts killing one…
AL: Scout moves and fires back placing a BM
IH: The Clan (or whats left of it) doubles and shoots at Aspect warriors, killing one scorpion.
AL: Aspects engage the Clan. Another bad save by the Clan and it is finally dead…
IH: Stormtalons kills the lone Falcon
IH: Thunderhawk kills the lone Nightspinner
End of turn two. Things looking hopeless. Everything Rallies except the Warhound who takes off towards the Blitz!
TURN 3
Avatar is in the house.
AL: Wins initiative
AL: Move and fire with the Revenants killing 6 Heavy Infantry making it flee. Retains
AL: Avatar Engage leftovers from the Heavy Infantry killing them all.

IH: gives up.

Conclusions/Summary:
I played kind of slow, always reacting instead of making good decisions :)
I clearly underestimated the Stormserpent + Warhost “combo”. In points the two units was equal (600p vs 625p) but being assaulted meant that the terminators didn’t get into CC and the Wraithlords did…
Not sure it was that smart to setup all marines to one side, that made the Eldar player dictate the game

The Revenants is really good. 8 MW that hits on 3+ kills a lot of expensive marines.
The Multimelta Heavies brings a lot of punch in engagements. Not sure they still need the lascannon though…
I like to field a large and nice Clan but it rarely do anything good for me, If you want a SC and not want to go in drop-pods the clan is 600+ points, compared to a Reaver is it that good?
Do we really need the disadvantage of “Cult of the Machine”? Not that big of an issue, but right now this army doesn’t feel overpowered at all so…
A Stormtalon is not as good as a Thunderbolt, it’s very nice to have 1+ initiative but still...why the higher cost. We do not play with a lot of airplanes so it might be our metagame.
This time the Airplanes woke up the memory of a lot of “fuzzy” rules: Can the Thunderhawk barge, from where you measure suppression on a unit with AA and who can be suppressed, a late turn three landing Thunderhawk contesting objectives. Is there any good house rules about this out there?
