Gosh, there certainly were a lot of assets in that battle!!

Why was the battle 13,000 to 10,000 points? Is it just because of an odd number of players? Seems it gives the Imperial forces quite an advantage.

The scenario is from Epic UK and they wrote it for 14k points..

The marine forces drop on the table 2 and 3.. and they will fight the first rounds alone against waves of orcs and the imperial forces have to control all 3 objectives until turn 10.
In our game the objective on table 2 was cleared in first turn. So it was quiet easy for the imperial guards to press on table 3.

The initial test game only had a 300 point reserve for the Marines plus one Thunderhawk and proved to be too small to help.

I also can't remember if we allowed the deathwind attacks off the drop pods either....

I can see with all the marine forces able to commit to table 3 from turn 2 onwards the game would be a real struggle for the Orks.

Still it's great to get all your toys on the table from time to time and it looks like you had fun

the deathwind attacks did nothing more than small casualties and blastmarkers.

My friends had fun. So it was a success.
