Although this was a game planned just for the hell of it, I took this opportunity to try out a list build that seems to have escaped my attention when making the Chaos Squats. This game was

to see if the above list build would be seen as 'too much'for the list.

Post Game thoughts

This game highlighted that the Ziganooks were not as great as feared, however the Gladiators using them were better than expected once they got into BtB assault. From this game the following changes are being considerred

- Ludus Golyam to go to 5 Gladiators and 3 Mutants instead of 4 and 4.
- Zigganook to go down to 30cm move

Zeppelin was quite good, yet far from over the top. The Skimmer and Support Craft rule worked quite well and (for Marines at least) make the Zeppelin a hard SC to take down. I would expect most if not all other forces would find it an easier task.

Overall a very close game.

The Marine force - well really, what more needs to be said? Not a Marine force that you could call Marines - and I guess that is the reason for all the debate.

Nice report. I like your terrain placement. And yeah, the Marine list was really a good point in the debate.

Yeah, it was not really a game we took seriously. Both of us with lists that we would rather not see, it was really just a case of let's see what happens.

The game was good for the simple fact of forcing me to find ways to balance the abuse of the Ludus Golyam.

The updated list should be out soon.

Against that force, maybe. In general, I find the activation count, the tagging/prepping of enemy formations, and the strafing of broken formations to be worth the price.
