Question: it seems that the Dark Eldar sacrificed quite a bit for the BTS goal.  Could they conceivably gone for the other victory conditions and played a more evasive game instead of a head-to-head?

Yes, they could have played. But with 5 formations of aircrafts and almost no air defence that is not easy. Also that would have lead to a very boring game.

Taking GG down is a huge thing for every army and this time RA saved it many many times. It was total of 24 (basic) hits and 3 damage caused. It was a great game though. :)

They were hits on engages... I still forgot it and that would have lead to extra blast marker due to vessel's shooting.

Well there was like that sustained fire from scourges and so on, so it was maybe 1-2 damage and one or two blast markers.. that close that it might have had effect.

But nevermind that, nice game and next time that will be taken into account...  (I already have the new version of the list planned)

But providing crossfire requires another formation with 45cms and a line of sight. So I can't crossfire with just one formation of scourges.

It was a fun game, next time won't be as easy. :)

If you can out-activate your opponent, the Fleet of Foot rule will definitely help you on your game.  One formation marched up into your opponent's area can help you draw a crossfire and/or support an assault.

Thanks for the good batrep and discussion.  I'm thinking the DE loss was more of a tactical one than a list problem (no offense, Charad!). :)

Good report! That was going to be a tough game with that many aircraft to face down, but did well none the less :)
