thanks mate! I think that orkses are meant to be travelling in improbable looking contraptions. the UFO, sounds like a good plan. just don't make it too sleek or, grud forbid, symmetrical, and you'll be fine. I for one find several of the EA ork minis a bit boring...

I wish I'd gotten into epic a bit sooner as I missed out on that kickstarter. D'oh!

The Kickstarter was to get the money together to make the moulds. The models are available (or will be available soon) on an ongoing bases. See the Troublemaker Games webstore - http://www.troublemakergames.co.uk/webstore_DiD_LB.htm

Those bombers have real potential! I could totally see modelling them with a freight container dangling underneath to give it it's "transport capacity." Then of course it'd need a couple engines strapped to it to give it a bit of VTOL capability! Haha - if we believe in it, it will work!

I still might hit up the local hardware store to try and realise the UFO idea. I picture it as looking like a typical disc UFO with a middle bit sticking up at the top. I'd glue a 28mm goblin head to the middle bit and put something to look like a gun turret it it's mouth. Then I'd just need a few bits for the tankbusta rockets, three bits of clipped off paperclip or pin for the tri-landing gear and it might look ok! I'm thinking 3-5 washers for the main body, some sort of rounded capped nut to cover up the top middle of the top washer, and maybe just a bit of plasticard or thin foam for the bottom hatch. I think it would be powered by a weirdboy strapped into it's core - sort of the gerbil wheel technique.

Maybe I'm biting off more than I can chew? Oh well, Washers aren't expensive!

Anyone have a picture of this new Lancastrian bomber next to some of the GW line for a size comparison? It really does sound like the perfect size ...
