Its a pity, with no offence meant to Raiders or Siege, this was the most exciting supplement to me and probably the most interesting to a wide audience

None taken. I think it would have had broad appeal. My guess is the project is merely shelved. E&C is a creator and it is a matter of time before it gets dusted off and worked on once more.

If someone developed the required Mechanicus lists I'd dust off the text.
But I'm done with list development, I think.

Ah no, this really sucks! :( The supplements are excellent and one of my favourite thing done here. I haven't had time to keep up with the progress much, but I've been especially looking forward to this supplement, for the titanic participants and battles.

I don't know what's happened behind the scenes but It seems pretty damn harsh for the ERC to cancel the supplement, guys what were you thinking?!? I hope you back down and find a better solution between you for it continue.

To my mind the best way through this would be for E&C to complete the supplement with the ATML list as you've been using it - but entitled specifically for the forgeworld you're having them come from (Gryphonne IV?). Then if whoever takes on the ATML list should entitle it for a different forge world (perhaps Mars?) and it can be allowed to develop seperately. That might not have been the ideal, but it does make sense for each forge world to have a different list anyway (a Gryphonne IV Admech army would different a fair bit from a Martian or Ryzan one say) and it's the best option for the supplement and the community.

I hadn't been keeping up with the development of the ATML in a long time, but taking a look at the changes posted in the development thread I strongly disapprove of most of them and the direction Vaaish wanted to take the list. I'll have to comment properly more on that another time, it'll be getting dark soon and I need to cycle on to find a forest or beach to wild camp for the night.

The ERC didn't cancel the supplement.

The current Skitarii list is not to E&C's liking because it doen't mesh with the story, and so he decided to cancel it himself. If the ERC had anything to do with the cancellation, it was probably in confirming that an AC has the right and responsibility to take a list in whatever direction he feels is best.

Pretty much this. I stepped down so that someone else could develop a Skitarii PDF list specifically for the supplement, and the new Champion decided instead to develop a Skitarii Attack Force list, which is useless to the supplement even if it does get finished one day.

The new Mechanicus Champ. has also been changing unit stats, that will make it difficult to make the required defensive Skitarii PDF army variant list style (Ie: slower moving Ordinati are needed, not ones as fast as battle tanks) at some point in the future without having conflicting unit stats.

So, Vaaish decided not to develop the list style, the ERC backed up his choice to place priority elsewhere, and the supplement effectively got cancelled by the very action (my stepping down because I needed to take six months off to coincide with the birth of our first baby) that was supposed to hasten its arrival. Ironic.

If anyone manages to develop a defensive PDF themed Skitarii army list at some point in the future (possible - there's a process going on in the Mechanicus forum to see if a new Champion is wanted), then I'll dust off my already-written supplement. If not, it's dead, 'cos I'm done with list development, I'm soured on the whole thing.

Likewise- I was looking forward to using 3-4 of these lists.

Shame that got to this point.

*shrug*

The supplement could come back, if the Mechanicus Champion would develop a defensive style Skitarii list.
It's entirely in his hands.

The Blood axe list here lists the Warband with Kommandoes at 225 pts.

The same list in the compendium lists the Warband with regular boyz at 200 points, and the kommandoes in their own formation.

I suppose there has been a change, but just checking.

If there has, may i ask why?

The short answer is that my list was more awesomer.
The original list writer doesn't do much list writing anymore, though he is still around to answer rules questions (and very good he is at doing that).

Just getting my feet wet with epic again. what was the reasoning behind getting rid of Landas in the Bigmob list? I always enjoyed dropping a snappa mob out of a landa into my enemy's face.

Hmmm... This topic might be a little old to start talking about again but have you checked out SpeakerTomachines Skitarii list? I think thats a very defense orientated list that might work well in thus supplement if it was tweaked a little.

Short answer is to concentrate on the list's core themes. Long answer also includes balance concerns.
