So, there´s no active AC for Iron warriors?
Onyx hasn´t posted for quite some time...

A friend of mine is interested in re-starting work on the Word-Bearers. Development on the existing list seems to have stalled sometime back in 2013. So I guess it's fair game?

I'd still like to keep going with it, Steve needs to decide whether he wants to adopt it as NetEA officially or keep it as a fan list :)

There’s definitely support for it. I reached out to Onyx earlier this year but didn’t hear back. If we’re short on playtest games, I’ll see what New England can provide.

I don’t think it needs anything really at this point, just a nudge over the finish line.

Happy to help contribute to the playtesting.

Happy to help with some play testing for 1k sons or EC. We’ve had a bit of a debate about all chaos lists in the UK and the general view is flamers to 1 x 3+ ff is a better fix than 1k sons to 5+ RA. I personally think the army would need a massive overhaul if you went to the latter.

I've pointed it out before, but there is already an existing Tzeentch Daemon unit with 1 x 3+ FF - the Horror.

Seems easier that re-statting Flamers to just change Flamer availability to Horror availability. Also then leaves me Flamers as the "Special" Tzeentch Daemon in the Daemon World list.

Heartily agree. The Flamer is so much better than the other lesser daemons that it skews the entire Black Legion list towards Tzeentch...

It’s also the only (moderately) accessible plastic demon option for Tzeentch as well, which makes swapping around which one is the “default” lesser demon a little tricky.

Cut the bulbs off the Flamer arms and ta-da its a horror.

As far as Horror stats go, you could have them keep their 4+ save to represent the Pink Horrors dividing into Blue Horrors when "Slain" and set their CC and FF to 4+ to represent that they are better than Flamers in CC with their numbers and multiple limbs with claws, but inferior to Flamers' FF in their warp attacks. This way a Thousand Sons player has the option picking a more offensive Daemon (Flamer) or a more resiliant Daemon (Horror) that will fare better if engaged in BtB. This way both Daemon types will be relevant and a solid choice in the right situation.

How to make a Pink Horror of Tzeentch:

- Take an old Beastman figure which is holding a sword and las pistol.
- Take a hobby knife and cut away the head, carefully shave away any extra plastic and shape shoulders.
- Cut away sword and pistol, if you leave trigger finger the figure will be pointing, if not that's okay as well.
- With a small drill bit or the tip of hobby knife blade, drill two holes in the chest for the eyes.
- Carefully drill another hole in the loin cloth for the mouth (don't worry, he's plastic - he won't feel a thing).

- Now you have a Pink Horror for Tzeentch! I've done a whole bunch of these and they look good.

I do use Flamers with my Black Legion bike and Havoc formations. But for Chosen, SC/BTS Retinue, Terminators and anything using Drop Pods I go with Nurgle Plaguebearers for their great armor saves. Now that Daemonettes are faster, they're an option. This leaves the slow Bloodletters as the last choice that I'd take.
