For the purposes of 'how many activations can you force out of the list', ten appears to be the maximum:

Activation Spam, 3000 POINTS
Chaos Feral Titans (NetEA v1.275)
==================================================

RAVAGER REAVER TITAN [600]
Faction: Chaos Undivided (1 Head & 1 Tail), Battle Head (Undivided, Head), Gun Tail (Undivided, Tail), BW: Heretek Shrine (Undivided, Carapace), BW: Heretek Thermic Ray (Undivided, Arm & Carapace), FW: Chaos Plasma Blaster (Undivided ONLY)

RAVAGER REAVER TITAN [600]
Void Head (Undivided, Head), Faction: Tzeentch (1 Head), 2 BW: Tzeentch Cannon (Tzeentch, Arm or Carapace), FW: Hellmouth (Undivided, Arm & Carapace)

GREATER BRASS SCORPION [200]
Faction: Khorne, Greater Brass Scorpion

GREATER BRASS SCORPION [200]
Faction: Khorne, Greater Brass Scorpion

DEFILERS [250]
4 Retlaxi-Pattern Defilers, Faction: Chaos Undivided

DEFILERS [250]
4 Retlaxi-Pattern Defilers, Faction: Chaos Undivided

DEFILERS [250]
4 Retlaxi-Pattern Defilers, Faction: Chaos Undivided

DEFILERS [250]
4 Retlaxi-Pattern Defilers, Faction: Chaos Undivided

HELLBLADE SQUADRON [200]
3 Hellblade Fighters

HELLBLADE SQUADRON [200]
3 Hellblade Fighters

Compared to the equivalent nine-activation AMTL list (Warlord/Reaver/Warhound/Waround/3 x Robot formations/2 x Thunderbolt formation) it obviously has less ranged firepower on the Titans. On the other hand the Defilers are generally more capable than crappy AMTL Robots, although smaller in numbers. Plus that first Reaver has supporting fire of 11 x FF3+ and an TK EA FF3+. >:D

Yeah, and it's actually quite possible to vary that list quite a lot. A lot of activations, but also 2 BTS, a lot of 2+ activations and no daemons. Perhaps 9 activations are a more realistic cap in that way, as you then can get 1 BTS (instead of 2) and/or some daemons and/or some more effective units.

Since I just nerfed the Heretek shrine a bit, it's down to "just" 9 FF, which should be nasty enough. Defilers are significantly more capable than Robots, especially when you add some daemons.

That's quite a big firepower drop on the Emperor, with only four weapon mounts and no built-in MW.

Compared to the last version, yeah (it gets better range on the AA tho). But compared to the version before that, it's actually sort of a buff, as you get one more shot than the Heretek Shrine and +1 on Summoning... Of course, you're forced to take it, so it's definitely a big drop in potential firepower, as with 5 hardpoints you could choose not to have AA on it. On the other hand, all hardpoints are now directed forwards, so it's easier to Sustain Fire.

Also, I've been comparing it to the Loyalist Emperor Titans, which is tricky since they cost 350 points more. So I need to justify that gap somehow. I'll try and take it in my next playtest, then we'll see if it's worth the extra 200 points over the Warlord.

Curious what people think about the way the "Havoc-type" Barrage, Warp and Vortex missiles work now?

I think the Havoc Barrage Missiles are fine, and give a lot more flexibility than the Missile Rack taking up both Carapace mounts.

The Warp and Vortex ones I'm more concerned about - having a Reaver with Eye of the Gods, Havoc Warp Missiles that sits on the Blitz getting three turns of AP4+/AT5+ TK Barrages at 120cm, then has a CCW, Battle Head, Gun Tail and either another CCW or an Infernal Projector to make it hard to get off the Blitz sounds pretty nasty.

On the other hand, it's a 650pt formation that's spending most of the game in your Deployment Zone, and outside of these weapons the list doesn't have much that can reach out a long way.

Yeah, and people can still take 2 if they want to use an old Banelord model.

Have been more paranoid about the Warp (MW4+ TK D3, Ignore shields) missiles than the Vortex (2BP TK,IC), but I see how that config could be nasty. I hope to playtest either or both of these tomorrow. Maybe I'll even take that config you wrote and try it out. The Vortex missiles may turn out to be a lot more versatile than the Warp version, as it's not so dependent on match-up.

Have also added another "Chaos Undivided" Support weapon to the next version (Cannons of Chaos: 4BP, 90cm (Macro, Slow). Arm mount only)

Can I make a request?

I'm considering putting together a TTL, but I want to base it around Abominatus. I can come close to building a nerfed version of it with this list, but it would require taking a Plasma Weapon. Could we unlock one of them (preferably the Incinerator) for Khorne?

Here is the list I am considering:

Incompertus, 3000 POINTS
Chaos Feral Titans (NetEA v1.3)
==================================================

ABOMINATUS CLASS EMPEROR TITAN [1050]
Greater Daemon Possession, Battle Head (Undivided, Head), Razor Tail (Undivided, Tail), Faction: Khorne (1 Head & 1 Tail), BW: Doom Burner (Khorne, Arm), BW: Wrecker (Khorne, Arm), SW: Hellstrike Cannon (Khorne, Arm or Carapace), SW: Chaos Plasma Incinerator (Undivided ONLY, Arm or Carapace)

BANELORD CLASS WARLORD TITAN [800]
Faction: Khorne (1 Head & 1 Tail), Battle Head (Undivided, Head), Razor Tail (Undivided, Tail), 2 BW: Havoc Missiles (Undivided, Carapace), SW: Hellstrike Cannon (Khorne, Arm or Carapace), BW: Doom Fist (Khorne, Arm)

GREATER BRASS SCORPION [200]
Faction: Khorne, Greater Brass Scorpion

GREATER BRASS SCORPION [200]
Faction: Khorne, Greater Brass Scorpion

DAEMON ASSAULT ENGINES [250]
4 Daemon Assault Engines, Faction: Khorne

DAEMON POOL [75]
5 Lesser Deamon

HELLBLADE SQUADRON [200]
3 Hellblade Fighters

HELLTALON SQUADRON [225]
2 Helltalon Fighter-Bombers

Looks like an interesting list, and I totally agree that it would be really cool to be able to build something that approaches the Abominatus.

Think the best way to achieve this is simply to change the "Greater Daemon Possession" upgrade to: "Character: Supreme Commander, Inspiring, Daemonic Focus, Augment Summoning (+2). May ignore the "Chaos Undivided only" restriction for a single weapon. If of the faction "Chaos Undivided", may ignore all factional restrictions for a single weapon."

This way the exclusivity of the Plasma weapons is somewhat maintained, and Chaos Undivided Titans get a bit more interesting.

Will also re-name the "Wrecker" to the "Mangler" and make it possible to have it on both Arm and Carapace mounts.

Thanks for the suggestion, and looking forward to see how the list plays! Playing Slaanesh right now, but will probably try some Khorne builds next.
