I'm looking to expand my chaos army and get some greater and lesser demon models, but I'm really not keen on sifting through eBay day after day to find GW models and spending an arm and a leg to get them.

Can anyone recommend a line of miniatures that would work well as proxies for the different kinds of demons? (hopefully cheap so it won't hurt to get a great number of them)

Onslaught has the Stygian Succubi which might possibly fill your Daemonette needs. You could conceivably use Exodus Wars Carrion as Harpies, and their Edenite Zombies are the go-to Plague Zombies. Warhammer-style daemons are tough to find in 6mm.

You can usually get plastic Chaos troops (which included several types) and the old Chaos Primarch models for not too much on the 'bay...

I have used a fair number of the Dark Realm Miniatures skyth line in my Daemon army:
http://www.darkrealmminiatures.co.uk/st ... php?cat=25

Guula as Harpies
Malcores as Fiends of Slaanesh
Claw Beasts as Spawn
Critters could be flesh hounds of daemonettes.

honestly, at 6mm the colour you paint them makes all the difference

There are 2 companies that make really nice proxies for Demons

Onsl;aught minis make under their Hellborn range the following
Charnal Hounds (fleshhounds) pack of 10
Flesh Reavers (Bloodletters) pack of 25
and under their Stygian range they have
Succubi (Daemonettes) pack of 25

The other website is Microworld Games
https://www.microworldgames.com/collect ... asy/Demons
Under their 6mm Fantasy demons section, they have the following
Abysmal Ram Beasts (Juggernaughts) pack of 2
Blade Demons (Bloodletters) pack of 40
Cyclopean Demons (Plague Bearers) pack of 40
Flame Demons (Flamers) pack of 40
A bulk Demon Cohort pack that has 80 each of the Blade, Cyclopean and Flame demons
Hellhounds (Fleshhounds) pack of 20
Fallen (Demon Princes) pack of 20
Imps (Furies) pack of 40
Pit Lords (Blood Thirsters) pack of 2

There are numerous companies out there that have minis that are O.K as proxies, but are not specifically designed to look a lot like them. Try Eureka Miniatures
http://www.eurekamin.com.au/period_fantasy.php

Although I have found a website that has a fairly decent database that is updated by fans for the various 2nd ed epic space marine armies and their proxies.

http://miniwars.co.uk/epic/units

I hope this helps

Microworld has the best, most accessible (in the US) demons, IMO.

I was surprised to see SG posting, then I looked at the date of the original post.
