With only Daemons in this list a rename to Chaos Daemons Incursion is in order.

I think Daemon World is a good name. It's a world that has completed the process and is now the realm of chaos writ large, humanity is totally subservient and largely sacrificed to the great powers.

Incursion to me sounds to early in the process.

Sorry, should have mentioned it at the time - I've got the soulgrinders with those stats at an untested 75pts each.

they are a bit better then defilers in 40k, and i wanted them to get different roles. Stats are fairly 40k faithful at moment (until next codex comes along)

Seeker support pack is limited to 4 chariot upgrades, forcing you to have a minimum of 2 leftover seekers in the formation. Any reason not to allow 6 chariot upgrades, or a separate chariot formation to allow for pure chariots?

(no real list reason behind this question, i just wanna build some chariots)

I think this is a good time / list to perhaps start the simple "here's the theme/why of this list" paragraph (or even simple introductory sentence) explaining the list. This has been discussed on several threads before and with the general gist being: "yeah that's probably a good idea"

Regardless, this looks interesting. I'm currently shopping around for a chaos list and I think I've just found it.

The number of upgradable Seekers - Chariots is an oversight. Noted and will be changed.

I have bundled them into the same formation to preserve the 2 support packs per god, and because I feel they fit better with Seekers than with Fiends. If we can think of other packs for the other gods I am open to having them as a seperate fm.

I agree with you Jimmyzimms - Come the next update (tmrw?) expect this in it.

This is only my view, but I've never thought of a Daemon World as being solely inhabited by Daemons? They naturally live in the warp, while a Daemon World is on the borders between our reality and the immaterium. Daemons rule, yes, but mortals and once-mortals still live there. Even the rulers, the Daemon Princes, were almost always once mortals.

To me a Daemon World army is a chaotic mix of daemons, mortals, and weird fusions like daemon engines. It's not solely daemons.

People! the name dosen't matter.

Get a fun to play, balanced list and then we can start quibbling about names. For now, I vote Deamon Delicatessen!

Lol, come on the Name's everything :)

More seriously I think the name evokes the nature of the list. The list for me is one that's fighting on home turf so to speak, so not daemons invading a world, it's the other force invading it for once. Hence the much lower incidence of 'humans' in a capacity to actually fight in any way other than a disorganised mob, or zombie mob. There are no more souls to willingly give to accession, they've all either ascended or been possessed pretty much.

Both LaTD and CSM do the whole world on the path to damnation to me, this list is the world condemned to exterminatus

v.2.6 up.

Changes:
Souldgrinders to 75pts each
Removed Walker from Fiends
Removed mentions of summoning
Fixed Seeker / Chariot Ratio
Changed name to the placeholder - Daemon Army for now.

--------------------------------

1. THE MISSION
THEME: A 'pure' Daemon list, using established epic and 40k units.

PREDECCESORS: Daemon World v.2.2 / LatD

DIFFERENCES: This is not a cult, titan or marine list. Focusing on the Daemon units types and cutting out those units covered already by other lists.

SUPPLEMENT? Ask MadDoctor

FOCUS: Daemons - especially the 'core' daemons

COMMITMENT: 1-2 games a week, I own 80% of the models ever possibly needed for the list and have played its predecessor list a fair amount. Cannot play during Uni holidays, but will continue dev.

2. OBJECTIVES

STRUCTURE: 'Core' Daemons (Bletter, PBearers, Daemonettes, Horrors) as core fomrations with flexible fm sizes and compositions. Specialist daemons as support formations on a 1:1 basis depending on God. Few (no) allies.

WEAKNESSES: Little ranged fire, few Scouts, little AA, no transports.

PLAYSTYLE: Use of Warp Gates and fast support formations to make up for lack of ability to place BM's. Mix of resilience / CC / FF depending on God will also have an effect on playstyle. A nurgle list should play significantly different to a Slaanesh one.

EXPERIMENTAL UNITS: Fiends, Soulgrinders, Seeker Chariots. All the rest at least have some pre-existing stats.

DESIGN GUIDELINES: Focus on Daemons, no spilling into Cult lists, cultist lists, marine lists, or Daemon Engine lists. Try and keep formations simple but able to be personalised.

On the name, i don't care what it's called, but i trust BlackLegion when it comes to knowing the fluff :D so from what he has said, incursion sounds more accurate than daemon world. Daemon army is also fine :P .
