Well not sure what needsd to be done.

As stated by Apoc, this is a World Eater list, not a Khorne WE list.

I once added in all the War Engines and found it was overboard. I really wanted to keep (this list at least) very troop and AV orientated.

What are people looking for?

If its not Khorne based it would need to be a list set at the time of the Heresy before the World Eaters throw their lot in with Khorne. Scrap demons, keep Engines and add thunderhawks?

Or change the way demons appear for this army? If you wipe out a unit in CC then the unit is rewarded with D3 Bloodletters/Hounds? I've always thought the only way they would worship would be through battle and not summoning.

World Eater Legionaires could lose the +1 attack and get better FF? They currently look better in CC than the Berserkers.

The original epic was Heresy era but epic seemed to move further into 40k. There is a good 30k list on wargamer.au

Just brainstorming

Steve, what do you need done with the list? My gaming is minimal at best right now but I'm still a keen Khornite. Just don't have an army as yet.

The latest 3.7 list can be found in the NetEA list compendium.

Additionally, I have temporarily uploaded the 3.7 play document from the start of this thread here: http://dropcanvas.com/uy1yr/1

I can't edit in this sub, so if someone who can could edit the first post and add a permanent link to 3.7 that'd be good

(afaik this is latest version – i have MS Word files for the version as well for whoever takes over the list, think i've sent them to Steve as well … probably … maybe)

All thats really needed is play testing and batreps, Frogbear has done a good job before disappearing and the list is pretty settled, just needs play testing from different groupscto get it to approved

Did you ever play with this list Steve?

I have played it over 30 times in different configurations and it has several important flaws.

In its current state, it has only one competitive playstyle: mass drop. It isn't very good at it either.

Conceptually, all World eaters are lobotomized fearless Khorne berzerkers. Why Frogbear had such an issue with all fearless formations is beyond me.

Khorne berzerkers themselves are underpowered, even when they do get in close combat, which is a rare event, and cause for much rejoicing (in a cc list oriented list, that CC is a rare event is rather stupid). They should have at least cc 2x4+/3+

The list should have access to Thunderhawks. They have access to them in 40k. They need the CC engage range. It would clearly diversify the list possibilities.

if only you'd documented even a handful of those battles, that would be really useful in backing up your statements.....

I have played the list

Personally I didn't agree with Frogbears problems with all-fearless but he was the AC , others supported this and he playtested. My role isn't to dictate how the lists are developed but provide guidance and assistance.

As it stands the list is settled (even with no AC) and just needs playtesting to highlight issues. I'd be hesitant to add thawks as thwt would be a huge change.

The list does have a bias for drop pod assaults, as this is (i think, i'm behind on the fluff!) an iconic method of WE attack.

FB did testing with ground based only lists as it is a weakness of the list, i can't remember what exact tweaks were made in that regard but they should be documented in the numerous battle reports he posted over the years to support his development.

IIRC the list has never had thawks tested, but did have a drop ship unit at one point in development, which was later removed (presumably after testing, i forget the details).

30 playtests with the lists sounds like a great resource, do you have a record of the army lists and stats, or some bat reps? Don't think there have been many bat reps posted recently with the list, so that would really help iron out any remaining kinks. I find it a characterful list myself, but it has been a while since i played it!

For transparency Apocolocyntosis has never attended an Epic UK tournament though he did come to the campaign weekend. He isn't part of EpicUk armylist development. We have exchanged pms in the past but only concerning trades, campaign weekend and the xmas game, never about subverting the netEA process.
